source for wheel bearings

anyone know where I can get rear wheel bearings for a 260 at a reasonable price. have been quoted $90-125 EACH. the $90 was from Burson

 

thats probably the one killer of the zeds - the price of parts. for comparison, a commodore wheel bearing is about $20

looking at my receipts, the best i found around 4 years ago, was 90 a side as well, that was from mayday in sunshine

 

Only thing to do is to call all the places you know, even Zworx to see what warren can do for ya...

I believe I got my ball joints through Warren at Zworx cant for the life of me remember what the cost was though.

I don't think they were too extreme I think the tie rods were the killer at $100 ea or something like that.

 

I've found that searching on the internet is a good way to save money but then you have to wait.

 

For example I was after a set of strut boots with the integrated bump stop to protect my tokico's. Pedders wanted $50 each or $200 for the whole set.

 

I found a place on the net www.rockauto.com and was able to save $60 would have been more but $40 was for shipping alone.

They haven't arrived yet but I'm hoping only a week.

 

I just looked then you'll find that RockAuto link has ball joints and tie rods they also have wheels bearings look under

do you mean rear wheel bearings? if so thats ok price , front are common type a an b bearings , if rears cant you just clean and repack with a quality grease thats what i do , never had a problem , in fact ive never seen a rear wheel bearing on a zed crap itself to the point where it has to be replaced, dazzed.

The reason the rear bearings are so expensive is because they are imperial and not verry common, the fronts are also imperial but they are very common and used on many vehicles.
