luvemfast Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 I emailed Bryant Park (Haunted Hills) to see if it was possible ro book the track out for a day and what were the costs. Here is the reply Good Afternoon Simon There is a way, and I can do it for you. The track is available for hire to other Clubs to conduct their own events, or members of Clubs can compete in the GCC Multiclub events. If you wish to hire the track to conduct a hillclimb (with timing) the cost is $2,350 per day. If you wish to hire the track for an event which is not timed, the cost is $1,500 per day. Gippsland Car Club supplies qualified timing officials to run the timing, and we also provide a canteen service. The GCC provides a safety car and all extinguishers etc. If you wish to use the track for less than a day, the cost is pro rata. It is the responsibility of the hiring club to get a permit for the event (if a timed event) and also to obtain medical services. If the event is a non timed event, and done without a permit, indemnity forms must be signed before anyone sets foot on the track. We currently have a track licence to run three different track variations, and you can choose which one, or more than one, you wish to use on the day. The track is normally open between 8.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Regards John Bryant Secretary It would be a good fundraiser and just good fun, but does anyone have experience with the paperchasing side of things that could shed some light? And would there be enough interest? Timed or untimed? Quote
luvemfast Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 To do an untimed event seems easiest and we can just use stopwatches and do it ourselves. $1500, if you get 30 cars. Thats $50 each. The more cars, the less $$ or raise some money for the site. Quote
. Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Just make sure to get money up front. People are hopeless when it comes to booking in but then not turning up. Quote

luvemfast Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 Add me in you need some who is slow The car or your brain We would need 30 or so cars and so far we have 8............ Only $187.50 each I understand that we would more than likely get more along the way, but I'm not prepared to cop the shortfall. It would have to be a money up front and only get a refund if you get someone to take your place. I might call John Bryant over the weekend to get some more info. Quote
