stevo_gj Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Hey guys, I've got a favour to ask of one of the Sydney boys. I'm purchasing a gearbox from Timwell in Randwick and galderli has offered to drive it up to Brisbane if I am able to get it to Bathurst when he is there racing his Z over Easter Is anyone heading to Bathurst and would be keen to throw this gearbox in their boot? I'd be willing to pay for the additional petrol costs that carrying the box incurs to the value of $30 Cheers! Steve Quote
FLEXZED Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Hey steve i wont be going to bathurst but you are more than welcome to keep it at my place ( i live near the airport, tim knows where i am) if anyone would like to pick it up from there Loui Quote
reverendzed Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Steve, If you get it shipped with e-go couriers it will only cost you about $30-40 anyway. www.e-go.com.au Rev. Quote

. Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Stevo, Can I just confirm that the box will be empty??? I can't have oil sloshing around in the back of the car. Thanks Greg Quote
Timwell Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 yep, brand new rebuild, no oil..... ...I am more than happy to pour half a bottle of gearbox oil around your boot if your want however.... Quote
. Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Ha ha, I take it you are a boot half full kinda guy Quote
DatPilot Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Good gearbox transporting tip: Ged a 'homebrand' or 'savings' brand of cling wrap, and mummify it. Add a few layers of newspaper if needed. It will be 100% sealed, can be stored for ages, no leakages, no water gets in, no black fuzzy wuzzzy spiders. Also your hands can stay clean whilst picking it up & moving it etc, wont stain carpet in the car etc.... Quote
