reverendzed Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I know it's a big ask but I'm wondering if anyone knows if aftermarket front guards are available anywhere. Rev. Quote
mossy Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Alfa motorsports have them Rev, I've got some for my car but haven't fitted them up yet so not sure how they fit. http://www.motorsportfibreglass.com.au/ Quote
reverendzed Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 Thanks Mossy, I was going to try to find steel but I don't like my chances! Alfa said 5 weeks for FG and that is going to throw my schedule right out! Rev. Quote
NZeder Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Here in NZ I got some from a supplier they were from Taiwan and the fit was ok the inspection flat loops were the incorrect diameter and the fit around the top corner was not right - result was a bit if mucking around to get them to fit. They were 1/2 the price of new units from Nissan and the panel beater said next time just get the Nissan ones as they would fit better and save the labour in getting the Taiwan ones to fit. Quote
reverendzed Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 I've checked with Nissan here and they say that they are NA, do you have a lead on the Taiwan ones? otherwise FG it is! Quote
Mr240z Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Warren at Allz's can still get new oem ones from Japan.. William from Sydney was selling one not long along ago. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2223.msg41651.html#msg41651 Quote
reverendzed Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 It's OK bro - I've just been considering the option being that the Left hand guard is so beaten up along the top edge and actually has a slight raised section right along it. IAs you know I can get most things nice and straight but being that this is my 'keeper' I'd prefer 'perfect' that's why I'm considering the idea of new guards and bonnet. Hope you're having a great Tassie Trip! Quote
