Hi,

 

Had a trawl through the forums - could see anything definitive on the subject (or could not find it).

 

Bumper bar differences?

 

240z and 260z two seaters - same bumpers?

260z 2+2 - will they fit earlier models?

 

I notice slight differences - later models have those vertical rubber stoppers (over rider thingies) on the front, but are they all interchangeable?  Same mounting positions?  Anything to be careful of?

 

Need to get my hands on front and rear bumper for a 2 seater.  Not sure of the best way to go about it.

Front bumpers are the same - in shape & fitment anyway

2+2 REAR bumpers DON'T fit the rear of the 2-seaters (& vice-versa!) - different side mounts & width.

 

Brand new F&R 2-seater bumpers were available late last year from the US & UK via eBay,

but they are currently none listed atm...

Don't for the guy in your country that is selling a new 240z/260z front bumper on ebay.com.au for $299 bargain given it will cost more than that for have one re-chromed.

'Phil's Rotarys' who sell the front bumpers on ebay, don't have a great reputation in Aus. Mike...

AND they don't supply rear bumper's either.

Hey lurch - thanks for the response.

 

I am curious to know why Phil's is a "no go"?  Handy being in oz and price seems reasonable for new item.

 

Is it rubbish or are they unreliable?

I 'believe' they can be somewhat unreliable, but I dont have any first hand experence of them.

Not sure, but in some pics of those bumpers, looks like they are missing the number plate mounting brackets. Not much good unless you have a spoiler with that provision for it....
