Hi guys I am in desperate need for a rear passenger side tail light surround (garnish) for a 2+2 can anyone help?

Yes you did but the left one has become really brittle and while I'm pretty adept with fibreglass repairs, it seems everytime I fix or strengthen one area another has fine hairline cracks...so the search continues ;D

Thanks for offering to see if you have something johnny, I appreciate it...however chrome is at this stage a last option! by the way am I right in thinking that the 2+2 garnish would be different than the coupe?

Yeah 2+2 is slighty wider than the 260z 2 seater ones. also i think the 3 lines next to the reverse light do not exist on the 2 seaters.EDIT (thanks scootag for the pic)

ill be at the workshop tommorow and ill check the non chromed which side i have. let you know by tommorow nite.

Sorry to but in on this one lads, but since the topic is perfect, and I was working on my tail lights today (71 240Z), I have the following question..

1) how do you remove the chrome strip from the tail light of a 240Z? there is a small pin with retaining circlip in the centre that only looks able to be removed by breaking it off... presume this is the only fastener for this???

2) has anyone restored chrome strips, and if so how? My chrome is pretty narly on one.

3) Anyone found a source for new strips?

4) anyone painted them with chrome paint? how do they come up?
