hey

im slowly restoring my 260 2+2 and was wondering if people knew of any sources that supplied rubbers and seals for windows and doors, pretty much all mine need replacing.

i have found rarespares.net and www.scottsoldautorubber.com.au, however a full kit costs over $700, is there any better options?

cheers tom

I bought the precsion rubber kit which i think is what MSA sells, only cost me about $300 when the dollar was good and it looks to be a good kit. I bought some local rubber seals for my other 240z and was not happy with the quality, if i restore my other z I'll definetly get another kit from the states.

just for future reference, i decided to get the rubbers and seals thro black dragon auto in the US as they work out at $600 AUD which is still cheaper then the domestic suppliers.

A threat for 2+2 part specs would be very helpfull indeed or at least the ones that differ from 240Z and 260Z parts. I took me ages to get the right driveshaft. Thanks All Z Parts for that one.

Mossy, I need a complete kit for my 240z also, but several have warned me off imported ones given different supposed quality.

Having said that, I am only repeating the words of others and have no experience with this myself.

Relating to the door rubbers on the MSA kits, do they just comprise one piece per side (as in a long piece with a rubberised compressible seal on one side, with the other side comprising a continuous metal clipping piece that is coated in rubber that has a fabric style pattern embossed into it).

On another matter, when I spoke to Warren about his kits, he said they were made at the SAME FACTORY as the OEM items... Has anyone bought Warrens kits (allZspares) and can they confirm that the quality of these items are to exacting OEM spec????

cheers
