I'm going to buy a skyline to swap parts from. going to put nascar tubing front end and role cage.  Got to take car to body man soon to replace all the bad metal. Then starts the tubing.  ;D ;D  Expect the worst and hope for the best !!

i think there is one in japan with GTR running gear.

though the engine sits lot closer to the front. i think they remodded the rad support to fit the engine. not the nicest job. but considering the difference between the distances from  firewall to strut towers on S30 and R32 R33 its amazing.

prob only straight line car as the balance would be thrown out the window.

I know this won't be easy and I might be about to waist allot of money I don't have to waist. Also I haven't had a Z in 20 years. I just love them ! I figured with to days technology this would be very do able.

    So what do you think?

Sounds like a challenge I guess it depends on how much of the fabrication work you can do. If you think its worthwhile doing go for it.

As the others have said its been attempted before, my biggest concern would be the way it affects handling.

Other people have not gone with all wheel drive, but have swapped in suspension set up from the skyline including engine.

If you look on youtube for hugo 240z you can see a Swedish fellow is doing this. There is also a Z in Australia set up like this, a silver one.

The idea came up while party one night. I'm not doing the fab. work. hiring it out. Me and my fab guys are researching this further. I got till the middle of June to decide.

I started this question to see if anyone would share they're pros and cons to help me decide for sure. I like to plan all I do. Thanks for the pictures.
