Search this forum and you'll find a fair bit of information....

$3,000 for one is cheap. If it's a 2 seater, it'll be a restoration for sure. A 2+2 you'll be able to drive it home, but will probably still need a bunch of work for a roadworthy cert.

I'm not really sure you intentions for the car, and whether $3,000 is your total budget, or just the initial budget with plans to spend more (which is inevitable)

well i called the guy and he seems to be about 80 years old and just wants to go traveling around australia with his wife and doesnt want to risk it with the 260z but he says its a beauty and he has had a v8 in there and everything its licenced and road worthy but he has taken the v8 and all that out a few years ago and put the original tires and engine and all that back in it because he thought he was 2 old for the big stuff, he said the only work it needs is the sunroof needs to be resealed and there is a little bubble of rust on the back that needs to be cut back and the fuel cap needs a new lock cos some one had a go at it with a screw driver, but in all he said he loves the cars thinks there beautiful .... is it still good for 3 grand?

Is the a real post or is someone having a laugh ;D

If it is a real post, Mate you have to go check it out for yourself.

See what you think is wrong with it, and than ask questions.

Or take someone that knows about car's with you.

There are post's in here to tell you what to like for when buying a Zed.

I,ll have a look for you and add the link ;)

If you want something that you can spend every weekend fixing this is the car.

If it has had a V8 in it it has been modified far away from standard

If you want a car to drive, this ain't it.

If you want one with a V8, put it back in and its your car

No roadworthy certs required in WA. If its still registered, you just pay the changeover and keep driving it, even if its a rusted out bomb.

Have a look at it and check for rust under the carpets and in the sills.

it sounds ok if the owners been driving it reguarly it must be ok and if you dont need rwc i say go for it if you can drive it down the road its a good start to getting into a zed , if its a 2 seater?

if it's in tapping then that one for $3000 is a 2+2

there is/was a 2 seater for sale for $2200 but it sounded like it had extensive rust and it's an auto i think
