LOL mine has about 200 :). Has anyone had luck with polishing them out? O'h O'h O'h, O'Brien maybe?

I used to polish the edges of Perspex up with just wet and dry back in high school.

I am not sure how this would work on the surface of glass but gave me perfect results on plastic (this is from a bandsaw cut)

Brasso may work or even a cutting compound, get the electric polisher out and treat it like your paint job. May pay to get an old scratched window from the wreckers to try it on

If you live in South Australia "Complete Windscreens" polish scratches out.

Glass polishers and jewellers all remove scratches with what's called jewellers rouge. The critical component is called "cerium oxide"

Cerium oxide is a fine powder that you mix with water to form a paste and work the glass with soft cloth; leather or sheepskin pad on a drill to remove fine scratches. There are other powders and abrasives to remove deep scratches. It's a time consuming process.

You usually polish a large area to avoid any distortion of the glass in one small area.

Cerium oxide is available from "Aussie Sapphire" in Ballina NSW for about $12 a small bag.  Their contact number is: 1800 502 140.

I had someone work on my side window and rear glass polishing out the scratches for like 4 hours. It took ages and the small ones cam out but I can tell you most won't. Having done that I found a "Brand New" glass for my 2+2 driver side. Put it in and it has started scratching again. First fix the bloody problem like I should have. So back to the drawing board I have to see what is causing it and stop the scraping. Oh and YES I found another brand newy. So one day I will get around to putting it in and fixing the problem once and for all. Mind you these are 2+2 windows so won't help you.

My advise is hunt around wreckers and you will eventually find a glass with minimal scratch's. Grab it and only instal after fixing the cause.
