R200 Clutch Packs

Hey guys,

 

Hope you are all doing well.

 

Got a quick question if anyone can help? I'm looking at rebuilding my R200 LSD that was out of a HR31 Skyline and was wondering if anyone knows if the clutch packs can be sourced within Australia? I've searched the forum/google and found a few references that mention using clutches from a Rodeo but I'm not sure what year? I'm still searching but thought I'd ask the question to see if anyone has sourced anything recently.

If its out of one of those, it will have a pair of approx 4mm wide wpacers in there, as Nissan deemed that they did not need full complement of plates.

The Nissan plares are 1.9 mm thick

The plates in the Isuzu Rodeo utes are 2.0 mm thick ( or near to) by using those you slightly increase your breakaway pre-load pressure, without having to overtighten the Belleville ( cup) springs

 

BTW all the diffs are made by Fuji Heavy Industries ( Subaru owner)

my LSD was in excellent cond so did the performance upgrade Jason recommended,

I bought 2 clutches and 2 springs and gave them to my mechanic( who still has it) we are aiming for around 90lb break away in a gravel rally car.

+1 there are at least 3 kits on nengen but it's not clear how you should select one vs the other.

I'd have to look back but I sent a photo of mine with measurement. Nengen changed the site so I could purchase them individually, think about $22ea.

They are easy to deal with and speak english.

In case anyone checks, I emailed Nengun who have various kits listed but got no response as to what was which. I suspect that the difference is the number of plates in the kits. Like Roger I've decided to get a new LSD instead.

Did finally get an email from Nengun but it was one of those circular type responses, useless.
