PeterH Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 (edited) I realise that there have been many posts regarding seat belts and I have read most of them with great interest. I dug out the seat belts that were in my car when I bought it about four years ago ( 1973 , delivered new in Melbourne ) and the buckles don't look correct for new seat belts of that era. Has any one seen this type of belt fitted to a 240Z ?. obviously I wont be using them ...I just wonder if they were the original fitment. I bought a new 240Z in 1973 but at the age of sixty eight and a half I don't remember the belt buckles...lots of other fond memories of it though.... Thanks to all who have contributed information previously to the seat belt topics. Peter Edited April 2, 2018 by PeterH George 1 Quote
Riceburner Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 My 73 had the same belts fitted when I purchased it in 2002 if that’s any help. Quote
PeterH Posted April 2, 2018 Author Posted April 2, 2018 Thanks for that...you've answered my question. Quote
Cozza Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 My ‘72 has different belts but my ‘71 1600 has similar Kangol belts. I think they are of interest to some people if you don’t want them. Quote
1600dave Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Ahh, the good old Kangol seatbelts. Confusing and scaring passengers since the late '60's Quote
gilltech Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Must have been an ADR-compliance requirement particular to the Aus-new cars. The 3-piece factory belts have a push-button buckle and metal 'Z' label on the button itself. Quote
