260Z Door Handles

Just a quick question, does anyone know if you can swap drivers side with passengers side door handles?

 

Had one of the boys mates try and open a locked door and broke the passengers side handle and they are color coded to the car

 

Not happy at all.....

Yes, they are interchangeable.

Funny story, got through my original rego with a fail on a broken passenger side door handle, so i swapped it with the drivers side for the reinspection.
They cant fail anything they have already passed on a reinspection

They are actually assembled as L and R versions but in reality it's just the plastic rod retainer insert piece that needs to be swapped across.

zfactory on Gumtree have new Nissan ones for sale, sometimes better to fit new as the old springs get a bit tired.

120Y, Datsun 1600, Datsun Sports 2000, possibly 180B, 240Z and 260Z, all used the same dorr handle ( exterior)
