Hi Folks,

Just trying to help out a couple of Fairlady Z owners in the US with sourcing these. Does anyone have 2 sets (for 2 cars) they are willing to let go of? Pretty sure they are the same for all S30Z's.

If you've parted out a few cars and have spares let me know?

Cheers,

Gavin

G'day Gav , if you are after the arms by themselves have a pr spare . Also have a pr of wiper blade pivot units with brand new sinter'd brass bushes fitted.

Hey Alan,

Just the blades for my friends in the US, but I may be interested in the re-bushed pivot arms for my own cars.

G'day Gav , turns out the re bushed arms are not brass but are definitely sinter'd composition material . The machine shop guy that did them for me said that they are the best non wearing bushes available.

I had two sets done & cost me $100 . The spigot balls in the arms are in good condition as well.

Curious to know why they can't just switch the left arms over to right hand set up.

You can have the lot for $50 , when do you want them by mate as I will be down your way on the 26th of this month & can drop them off for you but if you want them sooner I might be able to sought something out for you.

Also whats the best sealant to use on breather plate that fits up inside the tappet cover.

                                     Regards : Alan .

Hi Peter , why would you need to change the shape as they should just switch over , as from what I've looked at on my 260/S30 there is provision for a left hand set up as well & both are the same distance apart.

                                   Regards : Alan .

The end of the arm just before it clips into the blade holder has a distinct bend downwards. So there are RH and LH versions.

The arm is a flattish metal section, I suppose it could be heated & straightened, then bent the same amount in the other direction, but I suspect heat would ruin the metal finish.

Hi Alan,

Sounds good, no rush on getting them I'm in the US right now but will send these over when I get back. So 26th is perfect for me.

With regards to sealant, I had it water jet blasted and the sealant removed by Lachlan (Lurch), he used new sealant again, but I don't know what it was called off the top of my head. He did tell me at the time.

Maybe he will see this post and reply? If not I can ask him for you.

Hi Alan,

I saw the wiper arm pivots at my door yesterday. Thanks for that, I've sent you payment to same bank account details as other times ;).

*Edit oops thought I was replying to a PM

But I was also looking for RHD wiper arms (the ones where the squeegee's go) for the windscreen.

I need 2 pairs if anyone has any? Helping out some Fairlady Z owners in North America.
