I saw a 1976 silver one on carsales for $7500 g- that looks to have had a lot of work done on it, but can't decide on whether to get one to restore or one ready to go. Also saw a red one for $7g, and another silver with a spare wreck for $3g. Should I be looking anywhere else as well? Any suggestions?Only found it reliable site, as I sold a sporty commodore on there recently. My first 260z looks very similar to yours, metallic blue, but it had white interior. If your worried you won't get to do much work to it, don't worry about that. We car enthusiasts always find something that needs "improving". Buying a well restored car will save you many thousands of dollars. On a separate note I've seen a few women driving Zeds over the years. I've also heard of quite a few actually getting out on the track for a run. My girlfriend sometimes checks in on the site, but doesn't really get involved in the forums. Your not alone another words. You should be able to pick up a nice 2+2 from 5-8K I went with the "ready to go" as i didnt want hastles of doing a resto. Know doubt we will all keep an eye out for you. Quote
Lynton Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Hi Zgirl, welcome to the world of Zeds, a 2+2 is a very useful form of Zed travel and the really good thing about them is that if you can get your hands on a nice unmolested car they are usually in better nick and have been better looked after than the 2 seaters, most will come with air-cond and rear quarter windows that open for fresh air which will suit the dogs you have, the bad things are large opening doors that hit other vehicles if you are careless, heavy steering and the 74/75 models are the pre full pollution models that breath a bit better than the later 260Z's but any mods on these cars if you are looking for some are 240Z carbies, electronic dizzy & coil and extractors then you will have a really great 2+2!! Male to Female Ratio: 20.3:1 So there are a few around. Maybe there just not as vocal as the guys . Quote
