mossy Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I'm considering going ITB setup on my 240z, anyone got some EFI hardware throttle bodies? Quote
dat2kman Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 What do you have fitted to it at present? What items you got sitting around? Quote
mossy Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 At the moment its got OER45's tuned by LCR. I'm considering ITB as I just want it to start and go in any conditions. I have a steep driveway down to my garage so I have to let it warm up in the garage before I can get it up the driveway which isn't ideal. CBR Jeff 1 Quote
CBR Jeff Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 The start and go benefits, look and sound is exactly why I went the EFI hardware route. Good luck finding some. I think I was lucky getting my setup from another member. What size are you hoping for? Jeff mossy 1 Quote
luvemfast Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Are OER's no good for that? Try going Mikuni 44PHH then. I have zero probs, even after being parked for months at a time! mossy and gav240z 2 Quote
Retro Z Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 No problem with my mikinis aswell. Just started it last week after 6 weeks on a 5 degree morning with no choke. Mine is a dead headed setup with no fuel return line. gav240z 1 Quote

The OER's start fine, just a couple of pumps and it fires up, started easy just recently after not running for a few months. I guess I just want to fire it up and drive out of the garage and not worry about issues on really hot days. While its warming up in the garage it stinks the garage out and I can't just drive it straight out as it will cough and splutter until its warmed up. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted August 4, 2016 Administrators Posted August 4, 2016 Only problem with Mikuni's is the price.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tokiwa-GOLD-SOLEX-triple-Mikuni-44phh-Datsun-240Z-260Z-280Z-L24-L26-L28-S20-/282118033100 Quote
dat2kman Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Run your OER's dry, remve all chokes and aux venturies, retain air filters. Weld injector bsses onto intake mani ( an expense) as close to head as possible, angled to hit into centre of port, Buy 6 x VL Commo Bsch injectrs, ( more exense) Fit a rail, reg, a MAP, a TPS, a ECU, ( exense) No need for the $4000 EFI ITB setup, youd be up for most of the above in any case. mossy 1 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted August 4, 2016 Administrators Posted August 4, 2016 OER sells a fuel injection kit using a lot of the same parts if I recall. I'll have to dig up a link. Quote

That could be a good way to go. OER sells a fuel injection kit using a lot of the same parts if I recall. I'll have to dig up a link. I think benzed used the OER itb on his car? Either way I have to get some work done on the head towards the end of the year, I'll get that done first and look at this option then. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted August 5, 2016 Administrators Posted August 5, 2016 Link to Kit on Otomoto. ~$2,790.00 http://www.otomoto.com.au/p/7830659/oer-itb-kit-for-l6.html and here it is on RHDJapan.com ~SPECIAL PRICE AU$2,340.82 http://www.rhdjapan.com/oer-racing-sports-injection-kit-standard-type-45mm-l20-l24-l26-l28.html Keep in mind that RHDJapan often have a few extra charges applied by the time you reach checkout, but they are good to deal with (for FD parts anyway). mossy 1 Quote
