Hi, another  new member from Newcastle. I picked up the rusted wreck that was at Gosford NSW last year, HS30-00593 for your records, which is now deceased. I was able to salvage the drivetrain, glass, dash parts and a few extras. I am in the process of rebuilding the engine and am chasing some SU carby parts.

Let me know what you have, happy to look at a complete unit. Photo attached of the fuel pipe that I am chasing.

Did it have an E88 or E31 head on it? Are you rebuilding the motor out of it? Did it have a 71A box etc..?

Yes, rebuilding the motor out of 00593 which was original to that car. It has flat top pistons and came with a E30 head, am presuming that head would not be stock.Block is being dipped and the head vapour blasted. It has the stock 71A 5speed box that will require a reverse gear / idler? as it is quite worn on the engaging face. Not sure how easy  that gear is to come by or if one could be machined to suit. Not sure what diff ratio it is as I haven got that far yet.

Yeah E30 head must have come from a Skyline or similar. Speak to Lou Mondello in Moorabbin for 71A box parts.

Thanks for the prompt replies. Couple of questions, 1- how do I contact Lou in this forum. 2- I have a E88 head also and wondering if that head would be more suitable than the E30 for street friendly driver.
