Administrators gav240z Posted June 11, 2016 Administrators Posted June 11, 2016 Hi Everyone,I'm chasing wheel caps to suit the Nissan OEM Alloy Wheels (40300-N3200). The part no. for the actual caps is: 40343-N3200.Condition doesn't matter... Any shape will be considered. *Edit these are not specifically for me, but trying to help a couple of people who are chasing these find some. OdinZ 1 Quote
Bolts Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 The only one I've seen are on a set of alloy wheels for sale on ebay. Granted they're just after the caps but this could be an option..? Sell the wheels or keep as spares maybe. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DATSUN-240Z-260Z-FACTORY-ALLOY-WHEELS-/331870918983?hash=item4d450c5947:g:efMAAOSwubRXKAz4 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted June 12, 2016 Author Administrators Posted June 12, 2016 Yeah I saw the complete sets, I was hoping someone may have caps laying around and no wheels. Shipping the full set of wheels to North American will be expensive. Quote
gilltech Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 These are getting hard to find in good condition. They are a push-on, but the plastic 'fingers' on the inside often eventually break rendering the cap useless as they just fall off. The later style ones from the 280ZX which have metal fingers & clip into the open end of the wheel's centre are a far better design. The 2nd pic you have there shows how most of these caps appear today - bare chrome plastic with white 'Z', whereas there is supposed to be an iridescent blue paint insert surrounding the embossed 'Z'; however, the blue seems to deteriorate & fall away over time. Administrators gav240z Posted June 12, 2016 Author Administrators Posted June 12, 2016 Yes I know I had a pair of these on my 240z back in the day. I think a couple were missing the wheel caps and I recall those plastic finders breaking off... As you say getting harder to find now and that little blue piece in the middle chips off. Quote
Sprocket Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I'm looking for a replacement a similar wheel cap (40343-N3200), one of which went AWOL from my Z a while back. Alternatively, if anyone has a full set of the 280ZX caps with metal fixings, I'd be happy to buy those and fit them. That would make my 3 existing caps surplus to requirements. In that case I'd be happy to offer them for sale to folks who (like me) are missing one. Can someone post the part number of the 280ZX caps? Cheers, Cam (Tasmania) Quote
HKSZ Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 I've got a pair of 260z caps, not in the greatest of condition Quote
