stevo_gj Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Hi All, Long time no post! Good to see so many members on here. I've recently been involved in an accident (sideswiped by a van) and am looking for a repair shop in Brisbane. I'm covered by Shannon's for insurance so I'm looking for a good quality place to have the work done. I used to have a friend in business but he's since moved on, so I've got no starting point! Is anyone able to recommend a repairer in Brisbane? I've attached a few photos of the damage for those who are interested. Cheers! Stephen Quote
gilltech Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) Ouch! Nasty. Perhaps try Gasoline Alley in Brendale. They restore classic cars, they seem to do a lot of Mustangs, American & Aussie stuff anyway; check out their website. I'd want to get the car body shell measured up on a car-o-liner seeing as your windscreen has been hit on one side right at the bottom edge whereas the side damage is on the other side. No point in trying to fit a new screen if the frame has been compromised for example, our S30s are fairly lightly built. Edited February 2, 2016 by gilltech Quote
theremm Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I had an accident last year and I used a shop in Brendale called Senko Auto Restoration (I am also with Shannons) I was very happy with the end result, although with that said my body work was only relatively minor so I can't comment on a job of similar nature to yours... very happy with my experience with them and the final product however Quote
44014 Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Only place in Brisbane that I will let touch my cars is The exclusive auto centre in new farm. they don't have body filler in the shop and nick is a perfectionist. He will gladly show you his work like the 3 or 4 old Ferrari he has on rotisseries in his shop. Everything is hand finished and perfect. My car is going in there in a few months to get a few bits and pieces done. http://exclusiveautocentre.com.au/ Tell them Doug recommended you go there Kind regards Doug Quote
dat2kman Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Gasoline Alley is very busy, Senko in Brendale has done a few Z's, and knows them Rob Vine in Burpengary, and Craig Cambell in Caloundra ( CC Customs) are old school type shops. Quote
