Administrators gav240z Posted November 17, 2015 Administrators Posted November 17, 2015 I would, does it cover HS30-UA (Australian Delivered Part No's?). I would kill for them.... Quote
peter t Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 Gav they are Aussie books and have every thing that is on microfish at Nissan by the look of them. Not sure if my mate would part with them but at least I have acess to them for all. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted November 17, 2015 Administrators Posted November 17, 2015 I would buy them and be happy to scan them and put PDFs online for all. If your mate was willing to sell them that is.. Quote
peter t Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 He is a bloody horder Gav and his car is a GS30 but I will ask him. He may lend them to me and you can copy. See how we go. Quote
G Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) I had the 260C one but I gave it away. What I do have is the Service Bulletins across the range from the early 70's. If you want me to bring it to Sydney in early Dec Gav, I would be more than happy for you to scan it for the group - it's more for "anorak" use than anything! Edited November 17, 2015 by G Quote
GongZ Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Hi Peter - are they different volumes, or 2 copies of the same book? They both have the same Publication Number of C-0010R. If he has 2 copies - surely he would be open to offers for one of them? Edit - I now realise that one copy is June 1974 and the other is December 1974 Edited November 18, 2015 by GongZ Quote

YosemiteZed Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Gavin Service Bulletins are when changes are made to the models They highlight specific alterations made and are valuable when you have slight changes made in components and body also seating / mechanical and electrical etc one of the ones I have explains the extra padding to the seats as an example as his was early 70's it will highlight the serial numbers that these changes effected send me a pm with your gmail account and i can give you access to a PDF copy of RHD Australian parts manual to S30 HS240z/RS260z and GRS260z 1969-1979 inclusive HS/RS/GRS AU_U and all the revision up to December 1979 S130 280zx 1978-1985 SP/SR311 1600 Fairlady 1966-1969 I got these from a Nissan dealership a few years ago I now have them on my Google drive and will give you access and the forum can offer these to registered members Cheers Phil gav240z, GongZ and G 3 Quote

boyblunda Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) With regard to the publication dates, I have two copies of the parts manual both with publication # C-0010R but one is dated December 1973 and the other December 1977 so I think it is the date of publication that is relevant in determining when they were published. I bought both of my manuals off Ebay several years ago - from memory they sold for approximately $180 and $225. I was very keen to get an older parts manual that came up on Ebay but lost with, from memory, a $550 Australian dollar bid. I was surprised to have lost the auction but I found out later that the winning bidder was a highly respected and very committed Zed owner with an early car in his stable. http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/21912-datsun-240z-s30-rh-parts-catalogue/?hl=%2Bparts+%2Bcatalogue http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/23351-parts-catalog-rhd-1977/?hl=%2Bparts+%2Bcatalogue I have not seen one come up for sale for some time. Mike Gholson of ClassicZ sells CD's with the Nissan microfiche details on them for a very reasonable price - refer to ClassicZ website. Outstanding offer of access to the materials you have YosemiteZed. Regards Dave Edited November 18, 2015 by boyblunda gav240z 1 Quote

GongZ Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) I purchased a CD copy of "Nissan S30 240Z 260Z 69-79 parts book on CD" from About Time Spares earlier this year on eBay. They currently have this listed on eBay for $14.99 + $2.00 postage; http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-S30-240Z-260Z-69-79-parts-book-CD-/181865214346?hash=item2a5802f18a This is a pdf copy of the December 1979 revision of the Datsun 240Z-260Z Parts Catalogue, Publication Number C-0010R - i.e. the "Original Parts Book". The pdf file has 806 pages. They also have some other interesting S30 & S130 literature on their website; http://www.abouttimespares.com.au/showpartslist.asp?cat=4&sub=108&subsub=2280 Edited November 18, 2015 by GongZ Quote

HS30-H Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I purchased a CD copy of "Nissan S30 240Z 260Z 69-79 parts book on CD" from About Time Spares earlier this year on eBay. They currently have this listed on eBay for $14.99 + $2.00 postage; Please don't take this the wrong way (I'm all for the sharing of data where appropriate) but if anybody can buy the same thing from 'About Time Spares' then..... why don't they? I have a tranche of Nissan and Prince factory parts lists in PDF form which I received as a member of Club S30 Japan. Everybody in the club was given a set. They came from Nissan's Technical Centre, and on receipt we were requested not to "share" them indiscriminately or turn them into a commercial product. I presume 'About Time Spares' have the required authorisation/license to sell copies? Quote
YosemiteZed Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) Hi Mine was given freely without conditions from a Nissan dealership There was never any intention for any commercial gain from the forum to its members for this information The people who are interested in this information have a interest in ensuring that the parts that they Aquire are suitable the respective models and that components that Nissan have left in there storage as we hear the statement NLA These are components that are 45 years plus old and I am sure under the FOI under Australian commercial business it would be available And sharing where appropriate does not stick it any more As there are very few experts left that can advise on what parts you are ordering and Nissan has commercially stopped a complete supply of necessary parts for vehicles I think that they do not put a high priority on their responsibility on the commercial bases of the S30 models Cheers phil Edited November 19, 2015 by YosemiteZed Quote
