Its the first basic step toward giving us an all Australian club. Obviously there is still some confusion as to if this is just a Victorian based site so hopefully this will help clear the air. It will be a while before the entire site moves over but you can start linking to the site using www.auszcar.com if you like. On a site note I've replaced the search function of the site with a Google customised search box. This searches the whole site instead of just the articles section. You can also still search just the forum if you like. Anyway feedback on the search forum would be great. Quote

I might ask my hosting company for their ideas on the best way to tackle this. They are really helpful in this regard. Nice work Gav! Will it be much work to change the current logo in on top left of each page? Sulio Logo change is easy, its all the internal link references to addresses with www.viczcar.com. I will need to write a server file that redirects all requests to the same address but with www.auszcar.com as the prefix instead. Also there is the issue of Google, once we move we will loose our identity in the eyes of Google so I will ask around some experts in the industry as to what I should do. Also the latest version of Joomla is out now Joomla 1.5 and is worth upgrading to, I've had a look at the process and there is a bit of work involved. I figure I may as well do everything in one go but its a good weekend or more worth of work. Perhaps 2 full weekends and now that I go shopping on the weekend and do my own laundry and all that other stuff (Gee mum was great) time is difficult to find. So it will be a long process but I think the main thing for now is to change the logo and most references to Auszcar.com and the physical relocation of the site will come over the next year or so. It might take some time but I feel we gradually fase out www.viczcar.com and go with auszcar.com on everything so as far as stickers go we will only be making www.auszcars.com.
