Hi guys - removed the heater core today and repaired and then did a stupid thing! I put it under pressure to check for leaks and obviously had to much pressure and basically stuffed it completely!  So, I'm looking to see if anyone has a spare?

Thanks Rev

I'm with Lurcho's - what the? How did you over-pressurise it?

I attached a compressor fitting and blocked the other end and even though it was low pressure it immediately presented a large crack along the top and bottom - it may have simply evidenced was was already a potential problem?

Or I just completely F#$%ed it up?  :o

It sounds like something that would have happened anyway... The 240z heater core is made of brass/copper or metal (not sure if it's brass/copper) but same as radiator I believe (not plastic like a lot of modern stuff would be) and so I can't imagine high pressure (~ 12 psi - 14psi or 1 bar?) being an issue? But that's my non-technical opinion....

show me a pic of what it looks like. I just took all the heater and fan gear off my 240z. it's just in the spares parts box not used
