1970-1978 NISSAN 240Z, 260Z, 280Z. This is a specially baffled pan designed to control the oil under extreme cornering, accelleration, and braking. To accomplish this it has 4 trap door baffles that only allow the oil to flow to the pickup and not away from it. The pan is a high strength casting that adds rigidity to the engine block. The deep fins on the bottom of the pan greatly increase oil cooling. This pan also adds about a quart of extra oil capacity. Also featured are 2 dash-8 plugs with o-ring for the oil drain and turbo oil return. A cast boss can be drilled and tapped for an oil temp sender . Socket head mounting bolts are included.

Price: $499.00

I thought a deeper pan would have a deeper pick up. I know my pan had a longer and reinforced pick up.

Are they deeper?

Or just longer and wider?

Been a few years since I've looked at one.

Same depth, stock oil pump pickup fits, does hold mre oil, has threaded fittings for oil temp sender.

A+ Would bang.

They hang below the cross member though, doesn't that make it deeper. Or does it hang lower due to the thickness of the cast?

From memory of looking at Jakes,Thickness of cast and cooling fins would add an easy cm or 2
