Arnold Mendoza Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Greetings! My name is Arnold from Sydney. I joined the club last October but for some reason I didn’t have a chance to introduce myself, please accept my apology. Anyway we bought a 260Z 2+2 1974 model last September and we are in the process of fixing bits and pieces. Actually my son Raynold is the one who is very passionate with the Z, we actually call it a father and son project. We are planning to attend the event in Sydney to meet the fellow members to get some ideas and advice about the car. Not sure if the car is drivable as it was running rough at the moment. Especial thanks to Mark Scoota who gave me some advise and made the rear brake conversion of our 260Z also from some of the members who response to my queries. For those who want a free transport for next year, I will be travelling on the following dates: Sydney - Albury : 6 January 2015 Sydney – Narooma/Canberra : 12 January 2015 Have a Great New Year! Moderators PB260Z Posted December 30, 2014 Moderators Posted December 30, 2014 Welcome, one of my mates parents had a bus in that colour back in the mid 80's seeing those photo's brought back memories of "borrowing" that car when his folks were away, too much fun. Look forward to seeing / meeting you at the Sydney meet in January. Cheers PB Quote
oldmates260z Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Welcome. Looks like a very tidy car, what are the current specs, looks fairly original. What are the plans with it? Quote
Arnold Mendoza Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 Thanks Gentlemen! L26 with three Weber Carbs. I might upgrade to L28. At the moment we are doing the interior carpet and seat> Quote
CroS13 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Its great to see another zed in Sydney, seems we are growing more and more every week! At the last meet up there were no 2+2's, lately there have been a few new members buying them up around here. It will be good to have a few on the next cruise! Where did you happen to find that gem, she looks in good condition. Rudolf. Quote

It was actually a bronze 2+2 that first got me into S30z's. A neighbor down the street from me had 1 and despite the colour, the fact it was a 2+2 and a slushbox, I fell in love with it and had to have 1. Don't see many in that colour now. Quote
