cracker Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Hey guys, Was chatting to someone today who was talking about Nikki carbs being fitted to an L series Nissan motor and performing outstandingly well. I can't find any decent info on the net anywhere - apart from the fact that they were used on old Mazda rotary engines as stock. Are they a viable option? Not really contemplating for myself yet as carb mods are a way off for me, more out of interest. Cheers, James Quote
Scoota G Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I wouldn't use them but they do have a resale value. 32/36 dgav weber is a good option that work well on the 4 bangers and have a large range of jets available. They will work on a 6 cylinder too. Quote
lampy Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I'm pretty sure nikki carbs were fitted as standard to l16 or l18. We modified one a few years ago, from vacuum secondary's to mechanical for a autocross 1600 Quote
Agno Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 rotary nikki carbs are very similar to a holley 4 barrel so yes they are downdraft Quote
cracker Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 How did they go lampy? Has anyone seen them used on a six cylinder L series engine? Quote
