d3c0y Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 What about genuine? I use Nissan of Chesapeake in the US for any cheap genuine parts. I've got the email of the parts guy there, if you want to PM me ill send it to you. Quote
PeterAllen Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 The chap at my local Repco went through a number of catalogues and cross-referenced but came up with either "Not listed" or "Discontinued. Got them through Nissan of Chesapeake - http://stores.ebay.com/nissanofchesapeakeparts Quote
Riceburner Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Semi related, what do people think of Scotts old auto rubber? Looking at getting bits from them for a Datsun 1600, panels and rubber to be precise. Quote
Agno Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I found their rubbers to be hit and miss in terms of what fitted well and what didn't. Some of their stuff was just Rare Spares too. You could do a similar job by taking the original seals to Clarke Rubber and matching the profiles. Quote
Riceburner Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Thanks Agno. Did they have a brand name on the rubbers besides the rare spares ones? Quote
PeterAllen Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 A far broader range is available at rubber specialist. Just type "Rubber Extrusions Melbourne" into Google. Here is a Sydney place I use but there would be similar places in most capital cities. http://www.grippyrubber.com.au/ Quote
Agno Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Thanks Agno. Did they have a brand name on the rubbers besides the rare spares ones? No they don't Gareth, the door, bailey channel, outer & inner hatch, quarter glass and hood seals are all generic extruded lengths cut to (approximate) size. I ended up selling/throwing out the stuff I bought from Scotts and forked out a bit more for an OEM style repro kit from the states. It was well worth the investment IMO. Quote
