hi guys,

Ive decided to replace both rocker / sill panels. I have a few rust spots so instead of patching its better to open up that 'can of worms' and see whats lurking behind. I was looking for full length sills and ive only found UK / USA distributors. I believe All Z parts had these but ive tried to call and no answer. Rare Spares sell a sectioned panel but this will be a last resort.

any help would be great.

Just had a look at that site, who does the bottom section of a door skin only? Honestly....as Austin Powers would say.

Yeah ive looked at the website. Its not hard to replace the whole door skin, dont know why anyone would cut and shut it.

Anyway thank for the replies guys looks like I will just buy from the US again.

I tried To get in contact with Tabco for new sills around a year ago and had no luck. Every email I sent was never answered not sure if things have changed now. Also tried a second USA z specialist and they were out of stock and looking for a new supplier for repair sections.

Ended up getting a set from All z part. One of them had a Tabco sticker so they are probably one of the only suppliers for sills.

The fit for the drivers side was perfect unmodified but the passenger side took about half an hour of work to fit. It just needed a cut at each crimped end section so it could be bent in about 10mm. This was to bring the distance top to bottom back to original. Then just welded cut back up.

To get in contact with All Z part you are better off emailing or trying Warrens mobile. It has taken me a few random tries over a couple of days to get through before but he still has most things available. He is not at the shop that often but usually you can get in contact and he will meet you there.

I don't think the ones at rare spares and on ebay would be much use as there is no ends. The ends are what make the strength and they are also the part that rust away. Really they would probably be more useful if they sold the ends instead of the middle.

Another problem you may have from over seas is the shipping cost as the fairly long.

Hope this helps. Best of luck getting in contact with Tabco or Warren.

MSA in the US stock the Tabco full length sills. This is the easiest way to source them.

Robbie (DreamZ) got his through them. Postage is slightly on the high side, but it's a good excuse to make a big order & get all the other stuff you need ;)

If you decide to order in some patch panels / sections, maybe we can get a group buy going to save on shipping? Although I don't see myself ordering for another month or 2 yet.

Thanks Lurch. Ive seen the MSA ones but just looking for an AUS distributor first before i buy from the US. Ive got a PO box in Orlando USA which i use to consolidate shipments myself because i was sick of companies marking up freight.

Gav240z, group buy would be good. Ive got a PO box in the US we can use. I also work for DHL Global in airfreight operations, so i can save $$ on customs clearance fees / freight cost with my internal rate  ;D

Its pretty simple. Your Po Box is essentially a vacant spot in a warehouse. When you get something delivered to this Po Box, the organisation will mark this shipment with a batch number. Once you have accumulated some bits and peices, you tell this organisation to send in 1 shipment batch numbers xxxxx and xxxxx. WAA LAA!!
