Administrators gav240z Posted August 9, 2014 Administrators Posted August 9, 2014 Since I'm on the topic of asking newbie questions about welding. What gauge welding wire do you use with gas based MIG welding on our cars? Also just as an FYI: CoreGas http://www.tradegas.com.au/ Have a partnership with Bunnings where you basically pay a deposit on the bottle and get a refund when you return them. Like a swap n' go at at service station for BBQ gas bottles. However at this stage they only do oxy/acetylene bottles and not Argon, they said it's still a new thing for Bunnings so they might offer Argon in the future however. Quote
zzzzed Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I usually use .6 wire. Thinner wire = less heat and Quote
Riceburner Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 My missus suggested that I read the instructions properly and then it might work.... She was right ! Lol, I'm the same! When all else is lost, you still can't get it to work, then and only then do I think about reading the instructions. Quote
