Administrators gav240z Posted December 14, 2013 Administrators Posted December 14, 2013 Any news mate? Quote
tbscobraZ Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I'm keeping and eye out im in normanhurst only 15 mins away. Whoever is responsible should be ashamed! Quote
HKSZ Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Yeah, I'd like to know did the trailer have a padlock or trailer cop fitted? As a fellow racer it's never a peaceful sleep when you overnight at a motel before a race meet. Quote
Bloozed Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Hi guys the latest news is there is no news. sadly it has disappeared and I am going through the process with insurance companies. It didn't have the lock on it. We thought it was safe. There is work on the additional rail line going on over the road and maybe someone saw it go in. Must say I would recommend everyone of these trailer tools to lock your treasures up. I would consider something like a tracking system now although I might have gone round to get the car myself and that might have been dodgy. I have lost all my contact emails and mobile number as a result of moving jobs and houses but new work is gordon.lennox@water.nsw.gov.au. Jeeze it has been a stressful month, thanks to everyone who has offered support Gordon Quote
Gordo Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I feel for you mate. I'm sure the hole zed community is shocked buy your stolen zed. Lets hope all the guys lock up your cars and sheds over the Christmas brake. And these bastards get what's coming to them. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted December 18, 2013 Administrators Posted December 18, 2013 Yeah my feeling is that this car HAS to show up eventually. The problem is how long? The only reason it won't is that it's been exported to somewhere else in the world. The community of Z-car owners is so small that it can't hide forever. Quote
HKSZ Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I might ask Santa for a few more padlocks now for Christmas, hopefully you get some good news in the new year. What scares me is the advent of the cordless ion angle grinders, can make theft a crime of oppertunity anywhere Quote
420BRB Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 This makes me very frustrated.. i hope this car shows up. i cant immagine how i would feel if someone took mine. and mine has no where near the amount of work your one does..I will spread the word.. all the best Quote
Scottz Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I have some photos of this car. When it was up for sale in 2012 I inspected it in Sydney sometime around March. Another member also inspected it 2 weeks before me. Photos are MB size, so if you need them send me a pm and we can swap email addresses. Quote
Bloozed Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Thx Scott I had it re sprayed since the photos, after hitting a tyre wall at Morgan Park last March. The body was in better shape than when you and me first looked at it. My mobile phone was replaced with the new job but it took me a few weeks to get the old number changed over and one of the messages left over that time was a guy telling me he didn't know me but wanted to tell me what happened to my car. It was blocked and he said he would ring back the next morning. Hasn't happened but got me going for a while there. Gordon 0427 889 817 Quote
Bloozed Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Hi all, Just an update, there has been people arrested for stealing this car and other break ins, I have my trailer back but not the car, it can't be found. A lot has happened and I would like to fill you in but can't yet. Just wanted to warn you that there seems to be a group out there targetting these type of cars so be very careful that your cars are secure. Gordon gav240z 1 Quote
DreamZproject Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 WOW! That's amazing, and crap at the same time. The cops really do seem to take theft seriously. I know this can't compare, but i got my bike pinched the other month, so i thought I better just report it to the police for the sake of stats (I was sure i would never see it again), but a couple of weeks later they told me they had found it and a bunch of other stuff these guys had stolen. It'll have to turn up one day! Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted February 10, 2014 Administrators Posted February 10, 2014 There was about 5-6 FD RX-7s stolen in Victoria recently (end of last year), apparently an organised group also, targeting specific models. Sounds like it could be a similar group who took your car mate. I hope your car turns up and hopefully in 1 piece. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted October 7, 2020 Administrators Posted October 7, 2020 Did the car ever get recovered? I added it to the registry I've been working on. So if it ever appear again I'll be able to update you. Quote
Mr Camouflage Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Weird, I've just noticed the ID tag for HS30 103614 for sale on eBay. The chassis number of this stolen car is HS30 103613 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/124208231674 gav240z 1 Quote
