Hi Guys, This is a bit of a run down of my now almost completed 280zx, i first bought her 7 months ago for $900 in fairly good condition, straightish body, she ran and drove but needed attention body and engine wise... so the fun began.

At first this car was going to be an exterior respray job and a fun second car to play around with.... This didn't last long.

Here's her when i first got her. only a rear shot but you get the point... stock standard, white with Burgandy interior

Then came the fun part of getting her to bare metal.. using Septol and poly abraisive discs for the tough spots i managed to get the bulk done to see just how she looked under all that old paint.

We removed the rear wiper, boot release and antenna to make way for a more clean rear end. The front was also modified to be a shorter cleaner, but roadworthy passable look. It will change again soon. Then it was time for paint.

I will post more photos and updates soon, appologies for the poor quality photo's which make the color a bit hard to pick... my iphone is in a bad way.

Thanks to Simon and Ian for your help on the Phone at such short notice to help me out with a few things... She goes in for roadworthy tomorrow so fingers crossed i can drive her anytime, anywhere legally :) . This is really just the beginning, i am building another engine, working on the suspension and all the countless other items as we speak.

Like i said at first this is just a quick run down, i hope to meet you all at the next meetup day !

Complete overhaul mate... but to be honest with the stress of getting her ready for tomorrow's roadworthy i haven't put too much thought into it yet. Time for a breather while my bank account fills up again... :)

Completely random mate, I had a car full of wheels and was coming through ballarat and passed a matte black Z .... I just pulled up and asked him about it lol. Thought it was rare to see a Z in ballarat!. Even after stalking him he was kind enough to give me a hand cleaning up my new wheels. Top bloke

Always great to meet another Z head with a common interest. I've met quite a few randomly out on the streets over the years. It makes my day when I see 1 driving on the road.
