hey there all. I've been lurking the shadows of this site for a short while, thought it appropriate to introduce myself finally.

I am a traditional musician, classically trained in conservatoriums. occasionally performing at concerts and teaching here and there. i am a martial arts instructor 4 days a week, and train myself for competition. i enjoy the study of physics, philosophy, and never turn down a religious discussion - or all things of the spirit.

I'm a tad eccentric, and my humour frequents the dry-er end of the scale.

ok the important stuff. i've owned a lot of cars in general, through trading, buying and selling and now have my second 280zx. my first was a complete restoration done by my father (he had 5 in total) and it was brilliant. hardtop, cruise control, 5speed, immaculate.

now, for my current T-top, i am replacing the L28 (im presuming a big end bearing is gone) to get it back on the road as a cruiser. the previous owner had full rust repairs done, so the body is in great condition. but more than that its just fun to work on.

next will be a 260z 2 seater, i promise. though it will be a long project

Welcome..

The martial arts training might be useful during the resto; if things don't go to plan (quite often with zeds) you can beat  the crap out of it..

Welcome aboard

A new member in NSW great news. I am guessing from your 2541 location that you reside somewhere around general locale of Nowra ?

Based on the above quote you will fit right on in with the folk who find themselves contributing to the collection of words that make up this forum.

If you have pics of your car I am sure many would like to see them.

Cheers

ok butter tarts. quoting a song right? (i hope) because urban dictionary doesnt have too good of a definition for "butter tart". hmm, maybe im over thinking this. im sure they'd be very tasty!

so yes, i live just out of nowra, on the beautiful coast.

and also, excellent, i can already see this forum is my sort of place. i havent been much of a forum person in the past, but eccentric and quirkyness for the win. so! i will get pictures up soon, of my current zx, and try to find some of my old one, they're around here somewhere.

im thinking i wont end up in the bonus stage of street fighter on a zed, i can be patient most of the time. i do want to do all work comprehensively and correct, a 260 2 seater would be worth it to me personally. i promise myself, no dodgy cable ties and coat hangers this time, this wont be for rallying.. i want to know this car inside and out.

lurch, we've already spoken, it's your shell that this is in reference to. really looking forward to it.

nope, just weird. hope that doesnt let you down.

see here i was thinking i'd be turning up to the addams family residence to hear "you rang?"

aah we could only hope. i admire those few that are taller than myself. except when trying to fit in the back seat of my 2+2 - a common problem im sure most here are familiar with
