Pegasus Zed Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Hello everyone something that i have thought about randomly is if the engine from a 350z has been mounted in a calssic zed engine bay. Im sure it would fit as v8s seem to have no issue in finding their way into zed engine bays, i want to know if it has been done with a manual gearbox and a diff that would in some way balance it out weight wise?? Any ideas? regards Abhishek Quote
garvice Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Couple on hybridz. First one that comes to mind is 240hoke. Or search for twisted six. Quote

NZeder Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 There are at least 3 conversion that I know of here in NZ. Some pics of one of then can be seen on the NZ zclub site. I will post a link. http://zclub.org.nz/viewtopic.php?t=2056&test=test From page 4 on is the engine conversion but before that suspension and body mods Quote
dat240z Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 That is an epic combo with the 6 speed. I was going to do that conversion but ended up with the RB... Ive noticed there are brand new VQ35 engines and or blocks only on ebay for good money.... Quote
Pegasus Zed Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 Dat240z i was thinking that it would be a good combo and here in Victoria, it may even be easier to register as its an engine from the same family of cars. Quote
zzzzed Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 If I didn't already have a rb I would do this. Quote
d3c0y Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 But it's V6... they just aren't as good! You would want to get a 2nd gen VQ35HR too the first ones were crappy... Quote
