Brabham
Nice work, it is virtually impossible to get it perfect so a thin layer of Niki is just fine. What color are you going?

thriller
Cheers folks. Weekend of the 23rd/24th I'll finally not be studying, so would be great to get a pointer or two before I dive into paint prep
Ledge
Hey Mate, I have SAU nationals that weekend but will keep in touch. Maybe a week night or the weekend after ?
thriller
Weekend after would be perfect! I'll be home all weekend so whenever suits best. But I'm not home during the week so weekend will have to do
thriller
Still chugging along. The night that paint went on: Motor going in (left the box off as I still need the flywheel machined, I was over having so much stuff lying around, and the motor takes up less space in the car than out of it! ) Few details: Hopefully will finish off the wetsanding over easter. Looks totally shonky straight off the gun, but I'm happy with the few sections I've sanded & polished (till you look real close )
Administrators gav240z Posted April 18, 2014 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2014 Awesome, good to see this car coming along mate. Those extractors look good, I suspect I saw them for sale not that long ago, looking quite a bit more rusty though?
thriller
Thanks Gav. Car came with the extractors, they weren't rusty at all but were painted black. Felt like silver suited a little better. I was tempted to heat wrap them as well just to give it that cool vintage racer feel, but they'd be a pain to keep looking tidy.
