Brodie900 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Hi everyone! i have been lurking around for a few months gathering info for my self so i thought its probably time i made my first post. I have owned 6 or 7 Datsuns in my time and i just love them to bits! but I had never owned a Z, until now. I was really keen to get a 240 or a 260 but couldn't justify selling my ute to get one so i started looking for a 280zx and here is what i ended up with! It was sitting in a shed for about 8 years till i bought it and Its dead stock as it only passed for rego yesterday but soon it will have a full set of coilovers and some wide steelies that i got cheap on e bay. The whole car needs to be rubbed back and painted too so theres a few late nights with sand paper to come. The front coil overs are from Techno Toy Tuning and they look pretty good but i haven't found anyone who is running these so i guess ill find out for my self! Quote

Can you tell me the diameter of the springs and the adjustable collar? Also, what spring rate are you using? thanks, Simon Quote

Brodie900 Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 the front spring rate is 250lb, thats what the guy at techno suggested as its quite firm but still ok for road use. I cant tell you anything els at the moment because the car is in a friends workshop and i wont be getting back to it till next week but i will do my best to remember to measure them for you Simon. They are the Techno Toy kit but i had them made and finished at their shop to save me the work.... Lazy! Quote
