Everyone knows the car.

The owner Yuta, has given it an update....

I personally liked it in the last guise better, but I like that look.

Does anyone have a link or info to the story behind this 240z?

Can't see it going like stink, however I think it looks like stink.

A car that low is good for nothing more then parking, there is absolutely no suspension travel what so ever, and if it is the same car as this one IMG_2870.jpg it is definitely not well put together.

How can people like this, and if they really do, how can they admit that they like it.

Oh well, I guess some people have different taste.

I like the look.....as a novelty.      As a car, to drive.... no way. Horses for courses though, it realy depends what they are trying to achieve with it. Certainly got us talking. You mention build quality..... well it doesn't have to be built well if it's only to catch attention.

The guy actually drives the car though. That is the scary part.

I have driven some pretty scary unroad worthy cars, but when it comes to suspension, you can't have welding like this.

It's very 'unique'  ;D you either love it or loathe it. I like the war paint version, the old style looked like a backyard experiment gone wrong. Unless there's HUGE adjustment in the suspension.... could it have airbags like those rude low hilux's I see from time to time  ???

Most things look great on a Z except wail tails  >:( lol

I see this 240z as a form of art, its intruiging, catches the eye, has a ton of charactor... who cares about drivability when you don't have to drive it. Just sit back and admire it, better than alot of modern art out there now....

But everyone to their own ;)

Im not driving it, im admiring the photo and art........ if he wants a fractured back from lack of a good ride, doesnt effect my viewing pleasure ;)

Agree on the WW2 war paint, very unique look that has been increasingly recently used in custom motorcycles. Lets hope he drives better than the Zero pilots flew!

Jokes aside though, its really not a practical car (by any means, and I agree with Garvice on this), nor one that really serves any purpose, but to me goes a long way to show the extent to which wheels and ride height can and do dramatically alter the 'look' of, and usability of a car. On seeing that car in its earlier guise, it; 1) looks closer in shape and scale to a 2000GT (to me), and 2) tricked me into thinking it was some sort of computer generated image.  On this point, I recently read that Rolls Royce is famously known (in one instance) for its massive wheel size. RR designers say that the total height of a RR must be equal to 2.5 times the height of the wheel, to give the car what RR describe as the perfect proportion. This, they claim is the reason why the newer/bigger RR's are using monstrous 22" wheels.

light weight go Kart, lotsa grip

The zombie z has a "relatively stock" L24 with twin SUs so it's not fast.

I like the car it's something different and it definitely looks tough. I'm not saying I would do my car up that way but I respect the vision and work that went into creating it.

To me this car is in the same class as a restored to factory car. Nice to look at and you can appreciate the time and effort that went into creating it but at the end of the day not as fun to drive as modded L28 with triples and low stiff suspension.

What's light weight about it? And go karts still have suspension engineered into them.
