    couple of the uprights are damaged it looks like a u-channel 0.5mm folded ali section with slots cut out my understanding is that a normal mig setup won't do ali has anyone tried making new set?

    by chance, do you still have the original exhaust brackets on your car, esp. the one on the gearbox?

    this is super - that;s all i need. that would have to be the most rust free front i've seen. nothing like my one by the way, is that how the cross member bolts go in ? upside down?

    thanks jeff if you measure from the radiator frame back , ts basically the distance that the taper starts at, how long it goes for and what it converges to appreciate the trouble

    whether to go with the straight replacement frames or weld up existing i can tell just a slight reduction from the blueprint. will have to scale the picture and measure it by hand

    i noticed that some of the reproduction rails are completely straight ( baddog ones?), whereas the original have a very slight taper - may be 5 mm only does anyone have the dimensions ? presumably the replacements compensate by having offset ends so that the rad frame fits with no mods

    what type/size is the clamp? something from bunings? how do you place it and what's the point of bending the tabs back? why can't you leave them at 90 degrees?

    one more - when the car is attached, what the ceiling height required to turn the car over and at the lowest point. just want to be sure i can wheel it out of the garage and turn it over

    interested, couple of questions looks like the rear pickups bolt up to the bumper bar brackets. what happens in the front? goes under the engine rails?

    geez, that's scary. maybe its easier to cutout a small 4 cm opening and reweld? i'm still convinced that's how they must have done at the factory. unless they welded the rad frame to the rails first and THEN wleded the rails to the shell. ?

    so i feel ok i am not the only bunny with a rusted out z what a crap job from the factory. NONE of the joints around this panel were seam sealed with rust whereever there was a joint

    awesome. so that matches my theory of the where to weld it up. 4 welds at the top, 4 at bottom and two verticals on the front to secure the tab the trick question is HOW DID YOU GET IT ONTO RAILS so need a photo from the back

    my radiator frame and rails were so far gone from rust that the frame .. just fell out now life is looking up, the rails are fixed, the frame repaired, but i just don't know how it goes on from what i can tell, the opening in the back of the frame is narrower then the width of the rail http://www.vord.net/cars/240z/front-chassis/bent-chassis-rail-large.jpg so it doesn't fit second question is: how is the frame attached to the rail ? 4 welds at the top, 4 at bottom and two verticals on the front to secure the tab?

    not sure, its a spare i believe all 260z are the same, they have the low bottom member

    no bog , good condition overall i have the triangle pieces also somewhere, but not promising pics coming soon offers
