  1. Hi all Am looking to get the wheels for my car which currently runs 14" with 195/70 profiles. I've changed all the suspension bushes and the car handles and drives good. A friend had some Simmons 3-pc alloys, 15" running 195/50 & 205/50 tyres which I've put on and the ride's noticeable harsher over road imperfections. So now I'm wondering what effect the 17" (9 & 9.5") wheels are gonna have on the ride. Those of you running 17", can you let me know what the overall ride and feel's like? Cheers Martin
  2. Looks, good. I'm in.
  3. Hi all Soon to cash-in the beer tokens against some rims for the Datto. Am thinking Rota RB (surprise, surprise) and have been looking at the following sizes – 17 x 9 -13 fronts, 17 x 9.5 -19 rears. Am going coilovers and ZG flares so clearance shouldn't be a problem. Tyre-wise, thinking 235/45 fronts and 255/40 at the back. Any views/advice on the wheel width (especially fronts) and tyre sizes. Cheers
  4. Thanks, but have just ordered one off the 'Net.
  5. Cheers for that

    Wanted 280zx

Like a good vulture, I'm circling for a 280ZX for its innards. Looking for an engine and manual gearbox to replace my auto unit. Any rough badgers out there looking for a vet for a little nip 'n' tuck? If not, how about a manual 5-speeder with the bits to convert an auto? Cheers

  8. Hi all Has anyone a spare speedo cable out there? Mine's just gone south on the way home from work. At least I didn't do the whole Wakehurst Parkway looking at the dial!
  9. Thanks for the pic. Unfortunately, I have hands that could span the harbour bridge so looks like it'll have to wait until all of the things needing the dash removal have their day in the sun.
  10. Hi Which style spoiler is this? Have you a photo? Cheers
  11. Thanks for that. Do I need to take the dash out to get to it?
  12. Bless my little clock on the dash. For 39 years those hands have been going around but they must be getting heavier as it's starting to loose time, Back to the Future style. Is there any adjustment on the back of the unit, and how hard is it to get to if so?
  13. Go to http://zclub.net/ and it's on the homepage. Enjoy.
  14. I'll take the discs if they fit standard stub axle and standard caliper etc.
  15. Hi Been offered the above cheap. They are 4-stud and have been told they will fit the 240Z. Can anyone confirm this before I end up with oily paperweights?
  16. Hi looking for a front spoiler/air dam for my 240. Anyone got one they'd like to sell?
  17. Anybody wanna put me straight on the Skyline booster? Do I need the booster and master cylinder or can I get away with just the booster? Cheers
  18. Chaps, need a bit more power and better pedal feel from the old girl. Seems like the R33 booster is a popular upgrade. Do I need the master cylinder as well or just the booster. And does it need to be from a R33, or can it be R31 or R32? Not looking to rip the tarmac up just a little extra. What other cheap(ish) brake mods are out there?
  19. I'm still keen on the group buy of the 8.5/9" Is this something that's going to be discussed forever or are there others that want to go ahead? I'm sure even three or four of us could get a perferred price from Rota? Who's in?
  20. Excellent! Looks like the dash will be coming out then. Is there anything else, maintenance-wise, that I should do if I'm going 'plum-deep' in her while the dash is off?
  21. Hi, it's time to bring the light back to my dash and take off the dull green covers that sit over the instrument light bulbs. How hard is it to get to them (and maybe take the dials out to clean them up a tad as well). Also, the center consul seems tricky to remove. Had a quick go the other day, took the std radio out, got the knobs off the heater panel but couldn't see what was stopping the middle section from coming free? Any help for easy removal appreciated...
  22. Cheers guys, guess me and WD are gonna become friends!
  23. Do I need to take the carbs off the inlet manifold before I undo it or will they come off with the manifold?
  24. Thanks for that. Will do the sums and report back!
