  1. I have been over the wiring diagram and it suggests that they are linked back to the low beams? Can anyone confirm this?
  2. Interesting links, but really only relative to 240's due to the switch placement. Any info on the 260z version of this switch?
  3. hi guys, I have just redone my wiring loom and found the factory fog light wires. my question is how do these actually work? are they activated with the headlights or parkers or and they off another switxh which needs to be installed?
  4. I never said I wouldn't be keen.
  5. I am open to suggestions. It would be quite a loss to me what with the $1200 I paid for this carbon fibre with postage lol
  6. Ok, pulled the engine bay harness out now... plucked the birds nest until it was workable and found all the wires I have been chasing. Also installed a cigarette lighter (VS commodore with green lens removed, perfect fit), new fusible links (VS Commodore) Excellent fit. Two new horns (VS Statesman) and found some dials that replicate the look of the original Radio dials (Mitsubishi Sigma). All the accessories are out of the bay, and I am prepping it for paint... I am splurging.
  7. Sounds like a plan B. But what I am currently trying to do is restore all the wiring to as close as I can to factory. All the zeds had radios and they all would have been powered by acc rather than constant, so, there must be an acc wire under the heater controls that would have been for the radio in a past life. The other thing I have undrr here is for the hazard switch. The hazard switch is 5 wires and the only plug I have spare under the heater control is two prong. as stated earlier, defogger and light works as per factory so the spare two prong is not for them.
  8. I actually found an existing modified permanant power and promptly removed it. It's the radios ignition power I have to find. The original wire is going to be here somewhere.
  9. Hey Guys, Been a big weekend for me. I still have no work, but I decided to do some thing on the car that won't cost me any more. I replaced all the bulbs in the dash with 4watt globes, which really has made a difference. I wired up the rear defogger and the indicator light that comes on with the defogger, I also wired up the original radio to light up with the rest of the dash lights. I am yet to find the power wire for the radio, but I will soon. Next job was the horn wiring, I re-soldered the wire that runs past the combo switch to the steering boss, and now I have power to the relay (hooray). I am yet to trace that to the engine bay, but I will soon enough. After that, I had to work out why my windscreen spray motor wasn't working, turns out it was just jammed up with rust? But once I manually turned it it was fine again, next was the wiper motor. The wiper motor just stopped working a couple of weeks back. The head light etc were dimming when it turned on, so I know it was getting power. I removed it and tested it to power and it was fine. Turns out on of the pivot arms was rusted in place, and preventing it was working. So, that is now soaking in WD40. I think I want to paint my engine bay while I am pulling it all apart... but that is going to cost me money
  10. Hey Guys, I am currently doing a big electrical overhaul of things that don't work. I have started to rewire from my steering wheel forward, and the relay is clicking when the button is pressed. Now what I am looking for help with, is what colour is the horn wiring when is hits the firewall? Or comes out the engine bay side of the firewall? From diagrams I have seen, it is Green/white once they hit the horns, but may go through the fusible link first?

  15. Truth be told guys, I haven't had a job for some time now and I can't afford to fill up the car let alone get wheels etc. So, I have the car under covers most times until I can get back on my feet, so I am pretty happy my old man picked up the 200B so I can play with something in my spare time on somebody else's money lol.
  16. Solid axel, 79 Australian made model. $3500
  17. Oh really?! Excellent. Is it worth trailering back from SA or can I drive this sucker?
  18. No chance I am selling up. I want to take my kid to their high school formal in the Zed.
  19. Hey guys, I have a little news on two fronts. First is, my partner and I are having a child and the little dude/dudette will be here before the end of the year. Second is, my old man and I bought this old girl last night, (you may have seen it on ebay) which has just the right amount of space to fit a baby seat
  20. Got my radiator today and there is no chance the plastic shroud fits up. The tabs are all about 3 inches away frpm where they should be and are turned out from the radiator rather than back in on itself.
  21. Hmmm. Ok, shall do at some point this weekend.
  22. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,6786.0.html Here champ!
  23. Hey guys, In regards to these radiators, will they mate up with the standard fan shroud? I was wanting to upgrade, but keep the factory fan shroud for a more production look. Stivva
