  1. Weather irrespective I cant make it....family stuff
  2. Yep, good story. Who are you a LAME for?
  3. Probably like most purists they would be aghast. There was an E30 with an RB26 parked right across from me at the Black Label invitational ...I thought it was pretty cool.
  4. Some of you may know that I joined the BMW Car Club of Victoria as my chosen club for Historic or Club rego......for various reasons. Its a different kind of club with lots of late model BMW cars and I'm OK with that, however I was a little concerned they would shun some old modified Japanese sports car but seems they like it....... A couple of months ago they asked me to write an article for inclusion in the next issue of their club magazine.
  5. Bugger....I'm OS for work
  6. Plug for Simon's car https://www.tradeuniquecars.com.au/news/1909/1979-datsun-280zx-for-sale?fbclid=IwAR3aepgNqfFCKY4PjNO_ER7cQbONuiOFTmEe27HVsT64zdl72yKwuensZ14
  7. Yell out when you are ready to pull the engine Gordo, I'm happy to help with the motivation and getting to the bottom of this.
  8. Bells on!
  9. Yep, I'm going to drop down to start and say hi
  10. Looks like a nice bit of kit. Good luck with sale.
  11. Hang some plates on the racecar and cruise in the middle of the pack....no one will notice!
  12. Well done Gordo!
  13. Weather is looking dodgy in the arvo. As long as the morning is OK I will be there.
  14. This looks interesting...
  15. My God, she is ugly. Well done Trek on snatching her!
  16. Gordo, have you checked drive line alignment? The rubber donuts wont tolerate any deflection so need to point straight at the diff pinion center. Are you using a uni joint or CV at rear? I've got lasers and brackets to check this if you want.
  17. Good lookin pipes!
  18. Be careful of buying Bosch 044 pumps off eBay, most are knock off's. https://www.driven2automotive.com/blog/bosch-044-fuel-pump-is-given-new-anti-fake-security-seal/
  19. New disc rotor day. Trusty hardtail training hack was well overdue for new rotors. I get about 600km out of a set of pads and about 2,500km for rotors and for some reason I cant bring myself to throw out the old parts so I've got good collection of worthless stainless and alloy.
  20. Crackin day in Melbournistan for the last day of winter so took the Z for a blat late in the afternoon. Chose my normal loop which heads out towards Yellingbow and came around a corner to find this on the road. Guy on the other side in a 4WD had also just pulled up so reckon the tree came down only a minute or so before us there was a bit of traffic. Snatch strap on the 4x had it sorted in no time. Pretty decent tree that has been dead for a very long time. Given the recent similar events where people have been killed or injured I was pretty relieved I didn't arrive a short time earlier!
  21. Top bloke and knows his stuff.......starting on the right foot Gordo.
  22. Spend money on best sump and baffles though
  23. Good deal, much better than LS1
