Thats a damn shame. I have owned and converted a few na rb30's to turbo and they go extremely hard. Faster than factory turbos up to about 11psi (almost 200rwkw). You can buy a full turbo conversion these days for under a grand.

Dammit, and they probably parked them next to the ocean or wrapped them round poles. Mind you, imagine how the phone call would go to get insurance for one. "yes it's a 280zx, but it's only a 2 seater", "I'm sorry sir but they only came out with 4 seat", "no this one is definetly a coupe", "Computer says NO".

Yeah I was just wondering if I ever found one to flog another L28 out of I'd keep the body somewhere to do up for one of my boys, providing their Zed fever continued till high school. They do look a lot better than the 2+2 obviously, as does the 260Z.

Only ever see 2+2's and was wondering if anyone knows if the coupes ever made it here. Cheers

I would have what you are looking for assuming that 260Z's are the same. An expert opinion would be required though.

Measured just then. A = including nut heads 550mm B = 405mm C = 220mm These are measurements from a 260Z, Mr240Z can you compare these to your 240Z's as they are obvioulsy out and easlily accessable. cheers

Rear control arms R200 from a manual 280ZX with 3.7:1 gears CV Half shafts to suit R200 Two 280ZX bonnets in good condition 2 x Center drive shafts to suit a manual box 2 x Headlamp surrounds 260Z 2+2 1 x Bonnet (comes with free rust) 2 x Front strut assemblies (55m tube) Front control arms Rear strut assemblies (55mm tube) Rear control arms Rear drums Steering rack Brake booster LH RH 2+2 quarter glass sections including stainless trims Fuel tank Moustache bar Front calipers Long steel vent that goes between dash and windscreen 2 x front guards 2 x head lamp surrounds (still attached to the guards) 2 x head lamp buckets (still attached to the headlamps, inside the surrounds attached to the guards ) That's it for now unless I find some more stuff. Funny how the 'Datsun Race' headers are 4>2>1 which is more suitable to street headers due to keeping some bottom end torque and the normal Zed headers are big bore all top end high rpm headers?? What would you get for your set up??? A lot of primary sizes to choose from.

That efi intake plenum looks like such a better place to start than the factory 280zx one.

That bloke in the first photo would so get the japanese ladies in that Zed. Those rims don't look large in diameter but very effective.

Thanks for the comments. I initially coated the carbs with a clear coat of touch up gloss but when I striped the carbs to remove the bead blasting medium it got stripped off during a petrol dip. Then I used some heat proof clear paint (engine/manifold stuff) but it never really seemed to dry hard and stayed sticky.

Which piece exactly do you need? I dug out the switch but its kind of built into the piece that surrounds the steering collum and has the wiper switch on the other side. cheers

Brought the Zed out into the sunshine yesterday for a wash. Been sitting in the shed for so long, kind of felt sorry for it. My wife snapped some pics of it. Not much has changed really, but I'm hoping some coil over sleaves and a front spoiler are under the christmas tree Maybe some rota's next year.

Lurch (or any other experts) can you tell me if 260z strut tubes although larger in diameter, can be used in 240z's. Reason I ask is I'd like to chop up the 260z fronts and rears I have sitting in the shed rather than choping up my 240z ones. If everything bolts up the same then there shouldn't be a problem, but if there is a few differences then I'll just order a 51mm set for my 240z tubes. Thanks.
