  1. I hated the 350Z roadster, always looked like an after thought and didn't understand why they needed one. Removing the roof on a car designed to have a roof is just compromising the design and adding undue weight. This one looks better from the front quarter but still looks awkward from the back. Guess I'm a coupe man and not a convertible man.
  2. Apparently the s30s didn't make it much past the editing floor. They are still in there (goldish/orang and a candy red) but hard to pickout apparently. Here is the thread about it, reviews near the end. Some like it, some hate it. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=130130
  3. It's a work night for me (Got switchboards to commission the next day) so I will probably have to give it a miss. I'll keep an eye on the forums though and try and meet you guys one day. I'm going to NDN09 in Warwick for the car show. Will be turning up in my white 2+2 (26OET)
  4. No worries. Well they look great. I think I might have to come on one of these runs even if it is just to get some great photos of my Z. LOL.
  5. Will bring my s30 but probably won't show it. It's not the cleanest s30, still needs some work.
  6. I am going to make it to the car show on Saturday. It's at Leslie park from 9am to 2pm. You can still show your car for a small donation, but you will not be judged. Also you have to be there by 8am to show your car.
  7. If you want sequential ignition/injection, just get the disc out of a rb30e distributor. Same size and works perfectly.
  8. First of all, nice car, looks like you have done well. WHAT! Sorry for the interuption, but I think someone is getting mislead a bit. I paid less then $3500 for a M600 with Loom, Datalogging, map sensor, water temp sensor and air temp sensor. If your getting quoted another $3500 for installation, then I think you should give it a go yourself. Computers are not hard to install at all, mine only has the three sensors, two distributor signals, 6 coils and 6 injectors to wire up. Not that hard and well worth saving $3500 for.
  9. You guys realise that the latest fast and furious coming out has two s30 z's in it? They are only background cars but still flying the flag for datsuns.
  10. Buses! That's a low blow. But I guess if you haven't driven a 2+2 then I can forgive that statement.
  11. Hey mate, Car looks good. What pressure are you running on your turbo setup? I am running a max of 13psi for a RWHP or 185 and a torque of 319ft-lbs at the wheels. Brad
  12. I'm assuming you mean this. I don't mind modifying my datsun, (after all I am a member of hybridz.org), but a bright blue dash is just wrong in a z car. The dash is one of the nicest parts of the interior. Actually it is the nicest part of the interior, wouldn't want to mess with it. However for the few of you that are colour blind, dashboard restorations use a grey vinyl that requires dying to get it black. So if you really want they can colour it for you. If you really want!!!
  13. HA. Cheers mate. Yeah I am short enough to duck down and see it, but I wanted to see it without ducking down. I have a hard enough time keeping my license in my corolla.
  14. I got to ask Sexual_Sushi. Did you have to photoshop those photos? I love the photos with the dark stormy backgrounds and the really shiny/gleamin datsuns.
  15. What's going on with the roof? It looks like you have vinyl on the outside of the roof? Did you get a quote for a leather option? Cheers Brad
  16. HA! Believe it or not, the speedo is intentional. See here. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=141981
  17. Cheers guys. I got them to do the lid of the centre console, but not the whole console. My centre console is all plastic, so I didn't bother getting it done. I was quoted $730 for the dash. Michael gave me a bit of a discount and the Total including the centre console lid was $770. My dash internally was in quite good condition though, it was just the few major cracks on the top. He also mentioned that 240 dashes are much harder to do then 260s, as the foam used in the dash is much worse. I.E. It always requires a lot more work to do the 240 rather then the 260.
  18. Thanks Steve, don't have a lot of time lately, but will try and catch up with you guys sometime. Here are the photos of the dash http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,3893.msg33239.html#msg33239
  19. As I mentioned in my Wanted to Buy Post, Dashboard Restorations at Acacia Ridge have decided to do the Datsun Dashboards again. Their website is here http://dashboardrestorations.com.au/, and they do an excellent job. Here are the photos to prove the quality of their work. Before After Overall, I am very pleased with their work. The vinyl they use is not exactly the same (larger ripples then the original dash), but it looks a 100% better then the dash I dropped off. It took roughly 3 weeks for them to get my dash completed from the time I dropped it off (Was originally quoted 5-6 weeks). Also to note when getting Dashboard Restorations to do the dash, they insisted on the dash being assembled when dropping off and they also insist on reassembling your dash so that they can ensure it goes together properly. Thanks for the effort Michael. Brad
  20. There is a 240z bar on ebay at the moment from a ebay store "Phils Rotaries". I went and saw it today, it looks really good, but it doesn't have the brackets to attach it to the car. (Only reason I didn't buy it). http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DATSUN-NISSAN-240Z-260Z-FRONT-METAL-CHROME-BUMPER-BAR_W0QQitemZ140300374393QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item140300374393&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A4%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Brad
  21. Congrats, that's a good deal. Guess I get to keep mine just incase. Brad
  22. I can't see why it wouldn't fit. But if it doesn't fit, then just return it and I will refund you. Tell you what, give me $100 and if it breaks within 6 months, I will buy it back off you for the same price.
  23. Forgot to mention. I am in Brisbane (Enoggera). Work at Pinkenba, if that is easier.
  24. I have a starter for an L28. I bought a reconditioned starter motor for my L28 as I thought mine was busted. Turned out my battery was just flat. I paid 195 for a reconditioned starter with a 3 month warranty. I will sell you my original one (Still works perfectly).
  25. Well I dropped my dash off today. Michael was a lot more positive then the lady I first talked to. He said that he should be able to have it knocked over in about 2 weeks. Which is a lot better than the 5-6 weeks I was originally quoted. I am also getting my centre console lid done at the same time. I will post pictures once done.
