Hi All, I'm after a good working indicator stalk, with the pull back *click* to toggle between high & low beams. Cheers Travis

Thanks for your help all !. To be honest i don't know what the deal is... there is a thread for the pictured switch but its blanked off at the back. (so the switch can't poke through) Is there another system for detecting braking on a 76 260z? as i can't see any other spots for switches. Anyway... i've wired up the switch ive got and the brake lights are working.. ive just got to drill out the hole on the weekend and install the switch... This car is throwing a few surprises at me thats for sure ! It had a lot of wiring work done to take the l28e.. and has battery relocation, battery isolation switch, old defunct alarm wired up etc... headlights appear to be stuck on high beams and can't switch to low beams.. i think thats going to take a replacement stalk. There is a bit to work out still from here. Wish me luck !

Hi Guys, I've bought a 260z thats got a few issues that i'm trying to iron out. One of them being that the brake lights don't work. Well i've found the source of the problem, and that is that there is no brake light switch screwed into the pedal box mounting. So i've borrowed one off my 240z and set about intstalling it. Problem being that there sholuld be 2 wires with female bullet connectors floating around somewhere to plug the switch into .. but there isn't. Can someone tell me what are the two wires that go into this switch? (Colours?) And what part of the loom they come off.. Even a picture might help !. Thanks in advance !

Datsun 260z Brand Spankin New Centre Console *SOLD*

Not at this stage sorry mate, if I get no interest then i'll look at offers later. Cheers -
**SOLD** Hi All, I have a brand spanking new centre console to suit a 260z. It’s a genuine Nissan Factory Part, still in original box. It was purchased from the US some time ago and therefore the console lid opens out the opposite way. There are blanks for this to be changed to the correct side if this bothers you. This is a must have item for a 260z restoration, I’d say this is a rare opportunity to pick up a brand new genuine centre console. I’m unsure what value to put on it, as I haven’t seen them come up for sale. My priorities at this stage are body work and rust repairs, so the fund raising has to start somewhere ! Thought I’d put it up for sale here before I throw it to the dogs (ebay) travjacq@bigpond.net.au

Thanks for your help everyone ! All fixed now.. Turned out to be a combination of a faulty fuel pump... And a very well hidden kill switch that the seller forgot to tell me about ! Car now runs smooth as Thanks again.

Thanks guys.. Correct me if i'm wrong... but.. So to the relay... there should be 4 pins; 12v from battery Earth Signal (is this from ecu?) Output to fuel pump It does look to be standard wiring. I do know the green wire you are talking about zedman.. Its possible it may be the one going to the fuel pump already (but its getting no power to it)

Will have a look to see if there is a solenoid anywhere near tonight when i get home from work. Its definately an EFI fuel pump, it looks to be a 280zx original unit. Apparently car was running 6mths ago (according to previous owner) There is definately no fuel getting to rail at the moment.

Hi Guys, I’ve just purchased a 260z 2 seater which is fitted with an L28E (2.8 EFI) Its not running because of a fuel pump issue, which I assumed was a faulty fuel pump. After hooking up another fuel pump there is still no joy. I’ve checked for power using a test light but there is no power on the positive lead to the pump in the “key on” position. To my knowledge .. to trace this further up the loom the next check point would be the fuel pump relay ? If so … where would this normally be located ? (near ecu, near ignition, somewhere else?) And then how do I test that the relay is working? Any help would be appreciated. Travis
