I bought #166 through the trading post (paper copy) about 10- 12 years ago. Stylishly fitted with Nismo badges and the worlds largest alluminium wing spoiler. Which were both hastily removed when i got it home. At the time i had no idea about the "early" 240z's and for me I was just happy to get one. It wasn't until later down the track that I started to read up about chassis numbers and its early significance. A few things didn't add up.. It had no vents in the hatch and had the later pillar badges. About 6 years ago I started stripping it for rebuild and then realised that the hatch vents were still there but had been patched over. Also the later pillar badges had been retro fitted and the pilot holes for the original badges remained. My father has tackled the body work with significant rust repairs and rust proofing for a future lifetime. Body work is finished now, and it is in the process of getting painted white. I have just about everything i need to put it back together, I think maybe 1 year and it will be back on the road. It won't be rebuilt to original spec .. ZG Flares, Fender Mirrors, Fairlady Grill, L28 with triple 45's, Watanabes etc. Pics from past and present coming soon..

Great read! I've got #166. Currently getting a full rebuild. Never had the original L24 unfortunately so have gone for L28. My dad has one in the 300's.. cant recall # but will check that later this week.

Yes still got the exhaust - I'm in Adelaide. If you arrange through E-Go i'm happy to wrap & get ready for courier pickup.

Hi Guys, As the title says, i'm looking at getting a set of triples for my L28 in 240z. would like 45's & manifold, linkages etc. I'm looking OS but thought i'd check locally also. Will consider OER's, dellorto's etc.. just not sure i want to go down the chinese path i'm seeing on ebay right now. Should i consider them ? Thanks PM me with what you've got & $'s.

Hi Guys 3" Stainless Exhaust system which came out of a 260z 2+2 running an RB20DET - just need dump pipe to suit your application. Shorten by a few inches to suit 240z I'd imagine ! spotted a very small hairline crack on one of the welds. Keen to sell as its in my way ! $200

The new one is sold .. Still got the good used one available. $70

Hi guys I've got a couple of L28 nissan ecu's. One I'm pretty sure is new, came with my car as a spare, wrapped in plastic and looks new. Other one was working and being used in my 240z - no issues New one 100 - sold Good used one 70 Can post at buyers expense. Can take some pics showing serial numbers etc..

Thanks guys, Gav - I've seen this fella on EBay sell them before. I wondered how he gets so many of them.. I was hoping to get one a bit cheaper, but it sounds like thats a good price. If anyone else has one let me know, otherwise i'll have to decide on this one pretty quickly Cheers

Hi All, Its with much hesitation i have decided to sell my L28 engine. It came out of my 240Z running EFI about 5 years ago now and at the time it was a very strong running motor. I never had any problems with it. I started to get a few things like leaking injectors etc.. so instead of fixing these things i pulled it out and that was the start of my ground up restoration. The car was very quick, and although i can't say for sure what work has been done to it.. the guy i bought the car off spruiked that it had a lot of engine work... claims which he couldn't verify with reciepts etc.. I'm no longer putting an L series back into the zed so i dont see any point in hanging onto it. I'm selling the engine bare, no manifolds, no starter, no alternator Its been sitting in my garage out of the weather, with the holes plugged up etc. On a few occasions i've given it a squirt of WD40 and turned it over by hand to ensure it doesn't seize. F54 Block , unsure of head.. i will check on this. Looking for $370 I have an engine crane, so can drop it onto the back of a ute etc..

Thanks guys, I just thought it would be easier if I took one straight off a wreck. Yep after the bracket and the clip. I will keep searching !

Anyone know of any wrecked shells that i could get one of these off? My old man is restoring my zed and this is the only bit that is holding up the back section being finished. p.s i'm going to start a build thread soon...

Thought i'd give it one more shot.. Anyone here able to help me with this one? It can be removed with little effort by drilling through the spot weld i believe. Needed to finish off my back section.. then can move onto the next section.

Hi guys, I'm after 1x metal bracket that is tacked to the body and the clip attached to it. The rear light panel clips into it. If anyone is able to help please let me know! FOUND- thanks Travis
