  1. Hi Guys, I'm after an N42 intake manifold. Have attached a pic of the one i want.. Currently i have the one with all the anti polution gear on it and wanted to be gone with all that and just have a clean manifold!.   3. Car made 165ish KW at the rears on 7psi boost. Is capable of MUCH more power with some boost & a good tune. Price is negotiable, will list it on ebay if i don't get a good enough offer!. Cant say i didn't warn you guys!

Would render these useless!. I guess at least i've have some charge in my battery to start it! Thats a plus!. Cheers guys Travis
  6. Thanks Zedman thanks for your response, yes has an alarm fitted. Will check it out over the weekend. Can you give me some idea of what readings i should expect with ignition off... and also what sort of reading when engine running at idle? Thanks again Trav

  8. Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum, i'll do the whole intro thing after i get some good pics etc!. But right now I'm Having a small problem with my brothers zed that would like some help / advice on. Its a 260z 2+2, fitted with RB20det (actually for sale in classifieds section)... yeh i know this isn't the best way to advertise with a "Help" in the subject on a tech section... Ok... now to the problem.... The car seems to be draining the battery, I had the battery on charge for a few days.. chucked it in and within a couple of days and a couple of drives the battery its reduced to nothing. One thing i have noticed which seems strange to me is that the Volt Meter gauge on the dash is always reading fairly high (even when ignition is off).. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought this would only show a reading when the key is in "Accessories" or "on" position ? I have the feeling something is drawing from the battery constantly... Firstly is this normal for the voltmeter gauge to read whilst ignition in "off" position. Secondly, Whats the easiest way to find out what is sucking the life out of my battery. I've tried a couple of different batteries with same result.. Obviosly i need to sort this before i sell, I thought it'd be best to ask you guru's on here before i hand over my hard earned cash to the auto electrician.! Any help would be GRAND!. Travis

  10. Hi.. This car was purchased by my brother as a project ,but he has since transferred to Alice Springs ,and has neither the space or the time to complete it. He has spent a fortune on this Z with the idea that he would keep it for many years.It is one of the last built 260z 2+2's . It has been garaged at my house for over 3 & half yrs and just now registered and garaged at my other sons house in Adelaide. He has receipts for the majority of work thats been done on the Z. Whats Been Done : Low kilometer ,imported RB20det ( turbo) twin cam, injected, 2 litre 6cyl.with new timing belt plus others & new water pump. EMS fully programmable & upgradeable eng computer.. Gearbox is a Skyline 5 speed manual. Clutch is ( New Professionaly fitted)) performance Ceramic by 'Extreme' . Turbo, upgraded to VG-30 ball bearing ,used but in V/good condition. Front mounted Intercooler from Supra GT Turbo. Radiator has thermo fan . (no cooling probs) Alarm is professionaly fitted pager type, with audible & visual alerts on remote (x2) Central Locking is Activated by alarm remote. Rust Removal , $1500 spent on professional welded metal & fiberglass repairs. Rust protected. In the time he was living in Adelaide the car would have done less than 5000kms as it was second car and was constantly being improved Dyno test result sheets are provided This was required to set/up EMS. This is a very driveable and reliable 'Z' and is currently running on low standard boost..7psi & just waiting for someone to boost it and release this cars full potential. The power to weight factor will see this car produce some awsome power.. What It Needs : It needs a paintjob..but all the hard work has been done. Intercooler needs mounting brackets. The asking price is far below what was spent. To build this car now ,would cost over $13,000 NOTE : Although the vehicle is registered , LEGAL registration requires it have an Engineered Certificate. Information on how to do this provided. Its located in Surrey Downs, Adelaide (5126). Please call if you would like to inspect.
