  1. Purchased new hoist - HAPP90. Will pick it up next week and install. Will post pics when done. Dat2kman - you mentioned chemset bolts, what are these? May take you up on your offer to see your setup.
  2. Include a pair for me with your order and I will split delivery costs with you. Alan
  3. I see that MSA. Www.thezstore.com has very similar ones for the same price though they have grey attachments. I am not particularly concerned with the colour. Just want good quality at a reasonable price delivered yesterday!
  4. What is the web link for these? I am also looking for front and rear. Thanks Alan
  5. Www.happ.com.au
  6. Please include me for a pair of round ones if not too late. Thanks Alan
  7. Thanks for the help. Radum hoists don't seem to be available any more. I am now looking at the hoists at www. Happ.com.au. They look good, are reasonable priced and are available in Brisi. The model HAPP90 is portable, adjustable and low clearance so should be good. They say it is easy to install also. I already have a 15A outlet in the shed so all should be good. Maybe by Xmas!!
  8. Still looking for suggestions on a hoist. Now considering the Radum 2 post 3.2T floor hoist. Can get in Brisi for $2,400 installed. Look at www.radum.com.au under hoists. Anybody have experience with their equipment? Thanks Alan
  9. Count me in - if I am not away for work. Wife may even come along also. Alan
  10. NZeder is correct - anybody had one or heard about them? Supposed to be located in Brisi. I will try to contact tomorrow and see what they want for them.
  11. Has anyone had experience with these hoists. I have limited clearance in my shed - about 2.7m so unless I build a new shed I need a hoist with low height. I am looking for ideas on what to use with min cost but am tired of working under jack stands.
  12. Count me in. Been out of the country for a month and the z needs a run.
  13. I am cut-off and can't get home so will stay here in central Qld with good food (it's running out), cold beer and a dry bed. Roads are flooded to west Brisi until Sat probably so will try to get home then. No power at home but the Z is high and dry!!
  14. I was going to get the ones from Hemco and called to order them but they were closed over Xmas. I like the retro look of the Z Car Parts belts and they would save me +$100 ( a couple of tanks of go juice for the old girl or a couple of blocks of beer!!).
  15. I am looking for new seat belts for my 74 260Z 2+2 and found these on Z Car Parts. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/SIC03D/40-7491 They are listed as only fitting 240Z's and the supplier says they would be too short for the 2+2's. From the pictures on the web site they look like they would be long enough for the 2+2's particularly if you keep the seat moved back. Has anybody used these belts and do you think they would fit the 2+2. I like their look better than the newer styled ones. Thanks for your help.
  16. I am looking for a carpet kit for a 74 260Z 2+2. Can you get them?
  17. I am also confirmed and will check if my son is coming. Alan
  18. I also got this kit through BDA about 6 months ago when the dollar wasn't as strong. Have the front done now with new bushes, bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends, re-built calipers, pads and strut inserts. Sure improved the handling and braking. The bushes fit very well and I was impressed with the quality of the kit. The biggest problem is getting the old bushes out of the swing arm. I don't have a press so tried building one from info on youtube - no luck. Tried heat, different size sockets and a big hammer and only got a sore arm. Ended up drilling out rubber so inner tube was removed then carefully cut outer tube on both sides with a hack saw then knocked tube out with a chisel. Have to be careful not to damage the bushing housing with the saw or chisel. Once I got the technique sorted out it didn't take long to do the other side. Some other learnings from the job: loosen the top nut (do not remove it) on the strut before removing the assembly from the car because you still have leverage if it is very tight. Do the same for the bolts on the stearing arm for the same reason. If you have taken the strut assembly out of the car and you have trouble getting the force to loosen these then try mounting the tire back on the axle then get somebody to stand on the tire while you loosen the nut and bolts. Good Luck with the job
  19. Count me in also. I should be in town. Alan
  20. I am interested in spectating and taking a run out to the track. Alan
  21. Where did you get your new seat belts from? Did you get new ones for the front too? My 74 model has adjustable but not retractable belt for the front passenger and my wife uses this as an excuse for not riding with me - this may be a good thing but the drivers side is worn so I would like to replace both.
  22. I recently bought the same kit through Black Dragon Auto in the US and have almost completed the front end. Had the same problem in not being able to find all of the bushings from the local parts suppliers. The quality seems very good and it will be much stiffer. I have also replaced the ball joints, tie rod ends, upper bearings and strut inserts. I hope to have the car ready for a wheel alignment this weekend then looking forward to seeing how it handles.
  23. Does anyone know where I can get a locking nut for the left side tie rod end. It is M14 fine left hand thread . I ruined the old one taking it off. It was already rounded by the PO. Thanks Alan

Would love to join you but my Z is off the road. I am rebuilding the front end - strut inserts, lower ball joints, upper strut bearings, tie rod ends, bushings etc. It has been interesting getting some of the parts apart. I have to get it back on the road soon or my wife is going to go out and buy a new car because she is tired of me using hers.
  25. Good idea - I am very much in debt. It is her birthday today and I am along way from home - again.
