    I have now started work on the front undertray and drivers side guard. The front undertray has copped a lot of hits in its life. It had a few cracks and bends in it. The cracks were welded up, it was straightened out as far as possible then sent to the bead blasters for cleaning up and a coat of epoxy black paint. You can see how bent it still was from the amount of Niki in it. This has yet to be sanded but should not exceed more than 4mm at any point. Stay tuned for the awesome jig my mate made up for blocking this panel so it does not flex too much!

P.S. the diff is for my next projects, I am actually after that tall a ratio . Want to get to 300+Kmh in a zed one day, it is my life ambition

    I will take all the other bits less the dash and bonnet if Greg is able to bring them down. Greg do you think you could fit the hatch in as I am after one. Will also take rear Moustache Bar for R200 260Z 2+2 if you have. Cheers.

    Hi guys, I am about to install my alternator and would like a pic of where the wires connect to on the alternator on a 2+2 if anybody is able to take one. Thanks and happy new year .

    Installed :) . Many thanks Scoota. And now I turn my attention to the alternator Would you have any pictures of the alternator wiring Scoota? Presumably again the 2 seater is the same as the 2+2? Also are you running an L26 or L28? Cheers and thanks for the help.

    Thanks heaps Scoota, exactly what I was after. So both the positive and the negative use that same kind of black wire with a yellow trace, the positive having a shield over it and running to the starter solenoid and the negative bolts to the transmission housing, is that correct? Also what are the two other wires for that run to the starter? Presumably one is for the charge/volts, what about the other? Thanks.

    Hi guys, does anyone have a pic of the wires that run to their starter motor in a 2+2 260Z? How do I wire it up? I am reassembling my engine bay and wondering how to wire up the starter motor and where the battery earth lead and battery positive lead connect to. Thanks guys and merry Christmas.

    If they have only been banged up a bit you could knock the rails out roughly and just patch where the rust is. If it has bent the floor you will need to fix that. You don't need an engineers certificate to weld in/strengthen the rails. Cheers.

    Looks awesome Peter white is my favorite of the zed interior colors. Are your armrests the originals? I have seen white armrests as well, not sure if they were an option or what. Cheers.

    Managed to get it mounted properly by putting one jack under the engine sump and another under the front of the transmission and adjusting so that engine and transmission matched up. Flexplate bolts are supposed to sit about 22mm inside the front housing but do not seem to sit quite that far back. Is this ok. Certainly seems to be bolted up correctly. I just hope the PO put all the flexplate-crankshaft bolts in properly Thanks guys

    Welcome, as the others have said, sell the 350Z in the states and bring the 280Z over as it is fine to drive in LHD. There are quite a few 240-280Z's in historics over here so it will fit right in. Bring it here where it will be loved, valued and respected

    My vote goes to keeping it original - I think zeds look nice as they were. If you wanted to do the engine, my advice would be to keep the matching numbers engine in the shed and build an L28 with tripple carbs - you can get 350HP with this if that is what you are after. It is getting hard to find original zeds these days and it will be more valuable if you keep it this way. Power steering? Turn the wheel harder Cheers and good luck with the build - nice color too.

    +1 for keeping it original, that thing looks mint and is almost a one-owner car! Looks awesome welcome mate.

    Does all z do sills for a 2+2? From what i have read their sills are the best as they have the box sections. You could try Nissan, they still do quite a bit of stuff. Failing that the best option I can see would be to buy 2 of each side 2 seater sills from all z if the box sections are the same as the 2+2, then cut and extend each side using a length from the spare sills. We have to save all the 260s, not just the 2 seaters!!!

    It is sitting there with about a 10mm gap between it and the engine. I tried to tighten the bolts to pull it together but no luck. Maybe I should put a jack under it and try to move it around a bit? Otherwise I will have to pull it out and put it back properly. If I do I think I will just plug the holes so I don't have to drain it. Thoughts? Cheers.

    Hi, I am about to pull my auto box out to check it over as it was not bolted up correctly when I got my car. Where is the transmission drain plug to drain the fluid out? Anyone have a pic? Is there anything I need to be wary of when draining the fluid, pulling out the box and putting it back in? Cheers guys.
