Wow..Almost 12 months passed since my last post, time flies..I finally managed to get motivated to complete my car. Its been sitting arroud collecting dust in my garage while I pay rego and insurance. Madness!. I actually sold my very special "other" car and was motivated to buy early 90's 964 from a client of mine, but at the very last minute, with a bank cheque in my hand, he renigged on a deal and pulled out. Was going to backdate the Carrera to early 70's and was getting very excited about that project, but comes Australia Day 2015 and I get this SMS... "Sorry, but I cannot sleep at night, some may think its crazy, but I cannot sell my car, I'm sorry for this waste of time."...So, I'm disappointed and nothing else around, so I think time to finish off my Z. Week off and all bits a back together, seats, belts, carpets, etc. I take a car on a spin up to the Blue mountains 8pm 2 weeks ago. Running the engine in I take it nice and easy with varying RPM and on and off throttle. Coolish 22C, Windsor, bang....Car cuts off. So, I'm stuck, quick call to a friendly towie (11pm) and I'm on my way back of a flat top Seems dizzy module went cactus, so easy fix, but annoying and probably the only old part on the entire engine management (new/rebuilt dizzy. fuel pump, sparks, coil, leads, ect, etc... Got a new module and couldn't wait to drive the Z again. Took it out on an old Pacific Highway last weekend. Car pulled stronger again, but I cant corner too hard as my rear are scrubbing at speed. Time to install flares. -
Thanks, called Oto, but couldn't say much, wasn't sure about spring rates, etc. Seems was busy. I bough carbon flares off them though. I dont want just the spring/sleeve kit. Don't want to chop my own original parts.
-
Guys..SW Motorsport busy till mid May (no staff and too much on)...Anyone could suggest experienced Z mechanic to do my coilovers?
-
Hi. Looking for coil overs with or without inserts. Prefer branded springs, but will entertain anything out there new or old. Just don't want to chop my own. Please PM me with offers. Cheers.
-
Thanks so much. Just got some sorted. Cheers!
-
Guys, looking for a set of wheels with tyres. Anything so I can use as a temp. replacement. I have Wilwood front and rears so will need a bit of clearance. Prefer Sydney so I can pick-up. Condition unimportant.
-
Thanks so much. I have one coming in tomorrow. Appreciate all of the positive responses. Good to see there is still plenty of 'normal' people arround
-
I have one, pm me with email address and I will send you pics.

Guys. Looking for either brand new or slightly used coil overs. Not interested in cutting and welding things on. Just want to buy the best available for street/track use. Any latest proven systems out there which don't require any mods?. Happy to modify strut tower tops for camber adjustment, but don't want to mess with the struts themselves. The more adjustments the better, not looking for the cheapest solution. Any leads highly appreciated. Cheers.

Gents. Need some help here. It seems I lost lock striker parts from my doors. I see a lot of pictures of what's o the B frame side, but not much what should be on the inside of the doors. Circled in red are the parts I'm missing (R & L side) Has anyone got them here or know where to buy them?. Usual sources sell everything else but that part.

Getting my father involved in finishing this off now. Seems he's enjoying the slow process of matching nuts and bolts. Should be on the road next week, finally -

Car ina garage. I think I wont get around to it for another 2-3 months or so as I'm off to US this week for a little while. Anyway, little pic which I though was interesting of exotics with my 240Z. Forget Gallardo or an Audi R8, the Z stitting high and proud with the new engine already in. -
They look good and price is exceptional. I'm thinking street/track use. I have a relativelly agressive driving style, so looking for more than an average handling characteristics while not losing my fillings. How would you rate the 7 paund all around as far as sporty street/track driving is concerned. I just dont want the car to feel like its has no suspension.

Hi Can do..PM me. I'm in the Hills District. UPDATE: got my super deep Watanabe's on with the 225's all around. Looking good, although I dowant more rubber at back when I find something wider than 225x50x15's. Going to dosome work on the rear fenders. Going to widen the car. Not keen on the fibreglass wheel arches. Here is how she sits right now. -

Hi Adam..I see you are a Porsche owner also. Have not noticed that before. Used to have a 2.7 Carrera before I moved on, I have a brand new fuel filter in a cabinet if you need one Get together sounds good, but my Z is not back together yet. ALmost there. My new engine (US built, I had it impoted from stated close to 2 yearsa ago), recently went in and got my tripple Mikunis all balanced up and ready. The engine is running perfectly so far, still on run-in oil, not driving till I get my seats back in . Just noticed an oil leak from the old oil pressure sensor, the only thing I think I did not replace, so getting a new one this week. Hoping to get te car on the road by June. Its just cosmetics now, but I'm very time poor. Still, happy to meet up. (I have other wheels also). Have you any ideas?. PM me or post here. Here's the new engine bay. Still a little tidying up to do, but the bulk of the work done. -
Thanks Guys. Much appricited. Have been busy, so not signing onto the site daily. Anyway, ended up putting on my 10 inch wide rims at the back with 225/50/15 all around. Not ideal, as I wanted to get more rubber at back, but the tyre stretch is not excessive. I'm hunting for something like 245/40/15 or even 265's, but cant seem to find anything anywhere in the world, incl Tirerack. I think there are some cutom sizes that are being made every so often (I know for a Countach for an example, you need to wait for prodution to be available (345x35x15), so I will hunt for some wider sizes and replace the 225's as soon as I find some. Not going for the flairs though. They just look to industrial for me. Will be cutting the guards and extending the original lines to make the rear wider without bolting any fibreglas bits and pieces on. The plan it to now put the interior back in and off to th panel shop again.
