  1. Yeah I wouldnt fit flares unless you had to so you could fit wheels etc. The standard lines are much better in my view and theres no reason you cant fit flares sometime down the track if you really want them.
  2. Your a true Saint!! Helping so many kids and helping so many Zeds too!
  3. That 240z on carsales sounds a bit dodgy and maybe a bit too cheap too. Why would ya have photos of another car and not the one your trying to sell?
  4. Looking good Rev. Looks like ya could be getting close to being ready to paint my Zed soon Joel
  5. I'll try and make it along, though my zed still hasnt changed much since Christmas BBQ. Joel
  6. Hi, Do you have any photos? Thanks Joel
  7. Its an interesting idea Cash converters Auszcar style!!! As long as it was a definite money back in the 12 months id be in. How about the same deal on my Zed!!! ( just kidding)
  8. Yeah baby bonus 5k by fortnightly payments which doesnt help when the unexpected bills come in when things dont quite go to plan.
  9. Yeah Babies sure are costly and definately change your priorities for bit as ive discovered in the last couple of weeks. Thought of selling mine now too as money has ended up real tight but in a way im kinda lucky its in too many bits to be worth much!!! Anyway always loved your car Toecutter and hopefully it goes to someone here or you decide to hang onto it. P.S take a bottle of Scotch with ya when your little ones born (wish i did) nothing can prepare you for that day. Joel
  10. Well it's not the zed but completed another project I've had on the go last night or my wife did atleast! I now have a beautiful baby girl named Marley and deb and I couldn't be happier. Maybe the zeds gonna take a little longer to finish but who cares in the grand scheme of things ;D
  11. Happy Birthday Rev
  12. Geez i nearly missed another one!! Yeah i'll be there but no Zed im afraid. Hey Lurch i'll bring the Strut along. Cheers Joel
  13. Geez one day i might post something controversal and get you lot all worked up instead of my usual boring posts. Anyway my 2 cents is I wouldnt be restoring a car and then drift it. May be the odd Hill Climb but Drift cars aint pretty shiny things
  14. Hi Rev, Happy New Year!! A mate of mine has a couple of VZ Commodore Wagons up for sale soon. He has used them for his work cars just running round mainly. Ones got sunroof, Alloys etc. high K's for age and minor ding in rear, the other is just a base white one with average K's and good body. Think he's after about $7000.00 each not sure what ya budget is but think its pretty fair price though they are wagons. Cheers Joel
  15. Thanks Pauly I did wonder about that but everything ive read so far in regards to polyester filler says it should be applied directly after treating the bare metal with rust converter. So a little confused at the moment.
  16. Well ive started covering the bare metal repairs on my Zed. Im using a 2 part polyester filler over the repairs Lurch has done and treated though i cant remember what with, then im using a one step primer filler and then a blade putty for finishing off ready for paint. Does this process sound right or have i got it all wrong? Can i spray the primer filler over bare metal repairs and then use the polyester body filler over that? Obviously my main aim is to cover all exposed metal first Thanks Joel
  17. Hey guys Well made some space in the garage today and got the Zed in there and started filling the repairs Lurch has done for me in preparation for Revzed painting in the new year. Was great meeting up with some of you guys yesterday and getting all motivated again. So the plans now are: A set of 17X7.5 Rotas New door and hatch rubbers Replace all red interior with Black interior Front spoiler Fit center console i brought off Spamaster on the weekend ( havnt forgotten i owe you Bruce) And ofcourse paint repairs.
  18. Was a great day a and good chatting with everyone. Nice work on the photos Spamaster thanks Gordon for the perfect venue and thanks Lurch for getting my car back on the road in time Joel
  19. Thanks heaps again Lurch Had a great drive home through the hills and she handles great couldnt get the grin off my face Gotta save for wheels now and finish off the body work then get into the interior and see where things go from there
  20. Rev I definately have a job for you now that Lurch is just about done with all my rust. Any way i will chat to ya Saturday. Thanks Joel
  21. I will be there with my wife deb and hopefully my zed showing off some of Lurches handy work though unfortunately i will be showing off the tonne of bog from the previous owner

    Rota Wheels

So will these fit a 2+2 Thanks Joel
  24. I was also looking at it today and put a $2000.00 bid on last night just to test the reserve. Oh well Lurch probably would have killed me if i picked up my 2+2 after all his hard work and dropped off another Zed with possibly even more rust hiding. Sounds like a bargain though no matter what the condition is congrats JB
  25. Dont listen to them Lurch Just get back to work on my rust bucket!!! Just kidding mate and remember if you need mine out of the way for a while i'll come and pick it up
