Geez if only id stayed a more active member i would have come along to this weekend and it might have put a rocket up my arse to get my Zed back on the road and perhaps maybe had a weekend like this on my Zed. Instead I sold my Zed 3 weeks ago and brought an MX-5 so my wife could use it too. But she's not interested in driving it ( though she thought it was a great idea at the time) So now I find myself searching for another Zed. Anyway I reckon these weekends sound like a great idea and would help alot of struggling Zed owners get more enjoyment out of there cars. I look forward to getting along to the next one.

Cheers guys, I reckon I'll wait another 12 months and just stick around the forum until i own another Zed

How do i tell my wife i want another Zed especially after just selling mine 3 weeks ago !!!

I just sold my Zed and im tempted ( if only my wife didnt have a no more than 3 cars ban on me!!) Im always surprised how hard it can be to sell something on this site I had close to no interest in my car.

Thanks Bruce. Looks like its going to S.A Its funny didnt know how attached i was to the Zed until i sold it. They really are in a class of there own. It will be replaced probably by an Mx5 after negotiations with the wife its something she can drive also. Then hopefully someday i will be able to afford a nice 2 seater Zed in the future!! ( ofcourse probably like some other cars ive owned in the past i'll probably never be able to afford another zed the way the market seems to be going) P.S Dont be too harsh on me as far as MX5 goes :-\

So what about the 2+2's ? Do we expect there values to rise as steadily or just fade away as the ugly sister to the 2 Seater. Dont get me wrong i like the 2+2 and think there quite practical you just never hear much talk about them as a classic car etc. Wish i didnt need to sell mine but i have finally come to realise im a Driver and not a Restorer so cant see me getting my Zed back on the road now especially with the always increasing family commitments.

Hi tony, I don't know what it would cost. Would all depend on what's needed for rwc I can't see it being all that much it's perfectly drivable now but has just run out of rego. You would need to come and see it and maybe get a road worthy check done if your interested enough. Thanks Joel

Im reluctantly selling my Zed L28 with 115rwkw Manual Lowered King Springs Around $10000 of receipts for engine, transmission and various other parts from previous owner Lurch has done some body work for me and repaired all rust we could find, These areas are still in primer and will still need prep work before paint. Interior is mostly good. Rego. expired last August. Car drives well and will be Sad to see it go but i have no time to get it registered again. Unfortunately when i moved house Australia post failed to redirect mail as requested and rego renewal was never received so i forgot to renew reg. Car just sits in the shed now. Very sad news. I just logged on for the first time in months to see how the BBQ went and am very saddened by the news. Kyle was one of the few that i had met on a number of occasions including my very first meet/drive and welcomed me to the group. My condolences to his family and friends. Joel

I dont know any of the background of this issue although I have just read alot of posts about on this site and "other" Datsun site. I just dont get what the big deal is? If a Zed club is organising the event then they can call it what they want i would think? I agree that all Datsuns should be welcomed and have always loved old Datsuns/Nissans. My first 4x4 was a 1970 G60 Patrol. Anyway i would think you would have general classes , Zed specific classes if it is supposed to be a Zed event and other model specific classes if there were enough of that model at the event. I was pretty interested in going to this event and thought it could be a good road trip with other Zed owners etc. but it sounds like alot of you arent even interested in going? I know i havent added anything to this topic but im just really confused of what the real issue is

i just got my zed back tonight. I had to lend it to a mate for a couple of days cos he had no car and couldnt get to work ( and he works for me ) Hope you guys had fun sorry i missed it
