Gloves, coupled with a cap and scarf as mentioned before would make you look like serious driver kidding. Only goes well when used on old school convertibles. Momo make a couple of not bad looking wood or wood with leather or metal gear knobs. I think they make some of their gear knobs with threads that suit nissans. But I think the ones on ebay are the universal fit type, however, a bit of electrical tape around the gear stick (if the plastic sleave doesn't fit) and she doesn't hold on too bad Not sure about isotta though, don't think there's one in their current catalogue.

And ain't that truth! I really don't get how so many people get away with only a minor slap on the wrist. Crime really does pay these days!

I would buy it, unfortunately I've started on a 260 2+2 restoration already. But looks like a good starter car for someone who's looking at getting into the Z world.. Next time I'm going to build a 2 seater...

lol. Alan got in before me. Basically, it's easier to extract large amounts of power out of a larger capacity engine than it is out of a smaller capacity engine. I'm tempted, love the idea of a bit of an NA build, but also love a turbo build . My turbo setup is a bit old and needs a bit of work to get it back up to scratch, the turbo needs a rebuild or new turbo (hard to turn turbine, even by hand) and rebuilt carbi. See my intro post if you want to check out how the previous owner hooked the turbo up. Has to go back to NA for RWC anyway but then we shall see what I do, but that is a fair way off at the moment Actually, I should get off my butt and make a project thread..

Wow, that's a great result from a build which is quite affordable. Thanks for the info! I'm still debating whether to go down a similar NA build path, or keep the turbo setup that I currently have for my L26.

I have a spare, rust free 260z 2+2 sitting in my backyard.... yep, that's right... the rust comes FREE! But wait there's more! If you buy within the next 30 mins you will also receive some of those knives that cut through anything... that way you can cut the (free) rust out of the shell and thus, create a rust free shell!!

Wow rev, that 2+2 looks hot as! Definate inspiration for me to finish mine off the flares look really good. I was a bit sceptical of how they would look on the longer 2+2 body. But they still suit the shape alright! Thanks for giving me my desktop background as well!!

Unfortunately, the landlords who must be obeyed (parents) have said that I can't store your body while I sell the one I have, so I have to continue with the 2+2 project I have. However, still interested in that front spoiler. Will think about that L28 as well. Cheers.

Might be down for the 6 hour Phillip Island run. One of the guys from my other car club is racing one of his cars down there. So might go along.

Hi Ray, Welcome to the site. I have an turbocharged L26 sitting in my shed with a carb setup, but not sure of the size of the turbo but it looks like the same size as the turbo used on the new hilux's. It was used as a club racer before I got it and I haven't had the engine running, but have been assured that the engine ran well with that setup. Not sure about the manifold that mine is using either, I suspect that it could be a custom job. Might be worth a ponder if you were fond of the carbi's. Good luck with your search.

Welcome to the club mate! I am in a similar boat as you in that my 260Z is my first attempt at restoring a car (however, I have some experience in mechanical work with my daily driver). My number one tip is to take your time and research stuff before you dive headfirst into doing something. Cheers. Good luck with your project!

Yeah, early pintara's didn't have LSD's as far as I'm aware, unless the TRX had them... good luck finding one of them! lol. Pintara's aren't that rare. However, an R31 Pintara TRX is extremely rare. The only R31 that had an LSD was the R31 skyline silhouette and that ran an RB30, the CA engine was used in Pintara's.

Yeah that white Z was a very nice example. Nice turnout overall, good selection cars. I'll put some pics up later, depends on how they came out.

Wow, that's an amazing looking machine! I'm neither for or against spoilers like that, I think they look good with and without them, however, there are other spoilers which I don't like on Z's. But still, love that Z.

I believe that the letters in brackets beside the model number are for Nissan's internal use only, to distinguish between various models. They may be (not sure) for representing different markets where the chassis was to be sent. However, I could be wrong.
